wonder if the thread still exists where OU fans were very happy he was leaving and telling clemson fans good luck
Yeah it’s funny watching them with the mental gymnastics after hating venables for a few years before he went to clemson
One of the 247 guys is trying to push it being Kiffin Kiffin vs Sark every year in one of the biggest rivalries in cfb would be funny
#Oklahoma Sooners Lincoln not taking this guy? https://247sports.com/coach/Jamar-Cain-1976/ and if he did, or let’s just hypothetically say Billy Napier did, would you guys not be happy? Thanks for your time, I’ll hang up and listen
He was last century and had arguably the greatest season for a QB in the history of the sport. He set 42 passing records.
He’s a very talented recruiter. We’d want to keep him. I think he has the option to go but as of now is sticking around because he likes where he is and wants to see what his options are with the new staff
He told the players he would only leave when they "F'ing kicked him out of his office", so there's that. Would definitely want him to stay.
I know. He was my first thought when performance in your game after winning the award was dreadful. I guess it’s not his fault Penn State demolished both of his shoulders. It was hard for little BYU fan Fattus to see a BYU QB finally win the Heisman after we all thought McMahon/Young/Bosco should have and then get wrecked playing someone good.
it’s like that guy i posted yesterday that said none of the players would leave for a 5-7 team when their own coach did ou fans own themselves almost as much as aggies
These dumb dumbs don’t realize that the majority of the COL difference is in housing cost, which is a one-time expense of a few mil, probably offset mostly by the sale of his current houses.
To be fair, college sports in SoCal suck. I only have about 3 years of experience, but nobody cares out there about the college game. It’s amazing to have 9am kickoffs though.
Nobody cares because USC has been bad. Trust me, everyone in LA will be back in the stadium if they’re good again
I get that, but in general the overall feel doesn’t compare to SEC country or the Midwest. It’s dodgers/lakers and everything else doesn’t matter.
lol. This is an all time stupid take. People here care plenty but the reality is that we have so much sports just in LA (2 major universities, 2 pro teams in all four major sports) shit we have two soccer teams. It’s not like most major colleges that have the one team and that’s it. I love UCLA but my existence isn’t tied to our sports teams. #Southern California Trojans and snowfx2 cant attest to the fact that our Cholo fans care way too much.
it costs so much more to live in LA than Oklahoma, for some weird reason, lol! Jokes on him! - every person living in a shitty state from now until the end of time
I’m sure people from the Midwest and SEC country like to tell themselves that. It’s 100k people in the stadium either way. Whether you prefer that to be entirely rabid fans of the teams or mostly rabid fans and A (through C) list celebs is personal preference
Calvin Johnson had 1202 yards receiving and 15 TD from Reggie Ball Reggie Ball had 1820 passing yards and 20 TD to EVERYONE
then maybe he should have won. Either way it undercuts your point that Troy Smith was the best player that year.
It'll never get old how enraged reds get at the thought of someone enjoying SoCal more than their shitty ass state.
SoCal is only 2nd to the NY metro area on terms of sheer population. Fence the area + decent coaching = chips Also if people can get Instagram clout at games all the influencers will come running
