Another Mexican restaurant. I can walk to 3 Mexican restaurants all within .7 mile between Rosepepper, The Wash, and now this place.
The new fat bottom opened up in that East Nashville boutique hotel on Gallatin. The new SG location is better for them and we will probably still go as often and be able to park. I just wouldn’t walk from here to there across Gallatin/Ellington.
interesting I dont hate it since Rosepepper isnt as good imo better than an office building I guess (which is what I saw a few weeks ago on some random facebook thread)
I’m more excited for those 6 restaurants that will be at The Wash and will probably walk to those more than we ever walked to Southern Grist/Rosepepper.
Which Nashville breweries have the best food? I’ve got 2 use it or lose it Hyatt nights I’m burning in Nashville next week and will be looking for excuses to go to breweries the whole time.
Bearded Iris Sylvan Park has Black Dynasty Ramen inside. PunkWok and Red Perch are in the same building and also incredible.
Strictly for beer + environment and not food these are the breweries I’d visit: Bearded Iris Barrique Monday Night Brewing Smith & Lentz New Heights Yazoo (in Madison) Jackalope the rest are meh
Question, have any of y'all ever done Nashville air soft? I was thinking of taking my nephew tomorrow for his birthday.
I had never been. How was it? Hey BIGASSTITTIES , didn't JRF try to get us to go one time or maybe he just mentioned it. It's obviously been a long time ago.
saw that Fran's moved out what's going there? And is that mexican restaurant still going where Southern Grist used to be?
I haven’t heard anything about nor driven by the old location. I did go to the new SG on Douglas when it first opened and loved it. Great food, a lot of space inside, and two patios.
nothing has happened so far at old SG and I see a sign out front which seems like they are looking for someone to come in there i pass it on my nightly dog walk so just wanting something to go in there soon, it's a prime location imo
It’s snowing like a mother fucker in Hendersonville. Can’t wait to see all the assholes in ditches on the country roads later.
He won't stop ringing the bell to go back outside and it's a pain to try and convince him to come inside.
the one in 12 south was yuppie central when I lived nearby. Went there once and had to eat immediately afterwards
former fellow 12S resident. left 2015. lived off Paris between Belmont & 12S. 12S taproom is one of my favorite spots in that town
I don't think I've ever been to a BarTaco. I don't hate the idea of it coming to 5 points, just feel like East Nashville is saturated in Mexican restaurants. My buddy lives in 12S above Josephine's and likes BarTaco, but he is able to walk to it.
It was pretty fun. Glad I got there a little early. It was packed. Those little fuckers hurt of they catch you right btw
thats really awful. That place is so great. I got my wife’s bday cake from them last year and was planning on doing it again this year. One of the last places left in Nashville that is high quality and not criminal prices
i miss the days in 2010-2014ish when you could smoke on 12S taproom’s patio and everyone that was there wasn’t a yuppie in a yeti hat with a baby stroller #rip
Also if you ever watch “influencers visiting Nashville” YouTube videos they almost always go to Bartaco. Five Points is such a shell of its former self and this isn’t going to help. It’s sad that everything is just turning into midtown/12th S.
