First thing I thought of was Kenny McKinley, another Denver Bronco from Georgia who died too young. Looks like they just missed playing together by a year. RIP DT
Terrible, don’t wanna sound “look at me” but this shit is scary. In 2019 I had a grand mal seizure from being forced off Xanax, cold turkey. The Xanax was prescribed, not abused. Woke up 2 days later being told I was in the ICU and that I’d almost passed away.
He was an unbelievably good football player but seems like a truly great human too. Wasn’t aware he had a major car accident in 2019, that’s awful
Shits no joke man, 100 % respiratory failure, turned completely blue and I was told it was a very violent seizure. I had no idea it happened until I woke up in the hospital and was told.
That first season when Paul Johnson was at GT, he absolutely fucking tore up the field. Really sucks, dude was such an awesome guy by all accounts.

Sucks to only find out how great of a guy he was after he passed away. Being a shithead get way more publicity. Really should be the other way around.
Glad you're ok, and I'm sorry this happened to you. Xanax is no joke. It's been so popularized that people generally think it's just a benign relaxer. In truth, xanax withdrawal is easily one of the most common, if not THE most common cause, of new seizure onset in adults. It's just a terrible drug, and there are good reasons why almost no doctors who are relatively fresh out of residency prescribe it anymore.
