The NFL early entry dates this year are 1/17/22 to declare and 1/20/22 to withdraw, with a final list on 1/22.

It’s very early and only 9 have declared nationally.

The Big Ten has two, WR David Bell and DE George Karlaftis both of Purdue.

At Ohio State, everyone assumes that WR Garret Wilson and LT Nicholas Petit-Frere are gone. CB Cam Brown walked on senior day, but he’s out of his mind to go early if he declares. We’re also waiting on RT Dawand Jones and DE Zach Harrison, both of whom should stay.

Ojabo is most likely gone, especially if he's getting 1st round grades
    Dax Hill ( see above)

Other than that, I have no clue if anyone else will declare early but it should be worth noting every year UM loses a guy who really should've stayed another year

Mel Kiper yesterday has Ojabo #9 overall and the #1 OLB; if he’s close to that then he’s gone. He had Hill the #2 Safety. I suspect especially given UM’s depth at safety and no-depth at nickel has moved him out of position, that Hill will bounce.

DT Damion Daniels and CB Cam Taylor-Britt each declared for the draft with a year of eligibility remaining, but it’s just the extra covid year so maybe they don’t count (each played in 4 seasons at Nebraska).

C Cam Jurgens is also expected to declare with 2 years eligibility remaining (but has been in the program 4 years).

Edit: maybe Daniels hasn’t made it official, but it’s widely expected.

I'm a little surprised that Hill is so highly thought of at the moment. Don't get me wrong...he looked like Ed Reed in comparison to what the Buckeyes threw out there this year, but he still didn't look first round level to me at least.

he's a guy that's amazing in the short passing game and run support but he's prone to getting burned deep. I would love for him to stay another year for greedy reasons.

Tend to agree, but also think he's a victim of his own versatility, as Anison referenced.

If he came back and was able to play his NFL position, he could position himself as the top safety on the board, but who knows where that lands him next year vs this year. I don't think he's Kyle Hamilton, regardless.

Pretty much this. He’s not playing his NFL role (nor his ideal college one) because UM has no depth at nickel. I don’t think that would change next season either; our best young DBs are safeties not nickels.

Seems like Jones is a pretty big piece for OSU.

Harrison kind of seems like someone who shouldn't go, but OSU fans might prefer he did to get other people snaps. Am I wrong there?

If Dawand Jones leaves, then we have no heir apparent at RT. Paris Johnson will slide to LT in 2022 and played out of position at G in 2021. Otherwise, it’s all interior guys.

It’s the potential weak link in what should be a phenomenal offense.

Harrison is an athletic freak who hasnt shown more than periodic glimpses of becoming an NFL DE. The true freshmen DEs JTT and Sawyer are the real deal. Harrison may leave simply because they likely will beat him out.

I saw somebody say Bell was their #10 ranked WR after he announced. Is the class that deep? I have no context of who else is in the draft at WR or what his specific measurable are but watching him, he seems like 1-2 rounder to me.

I'd have him higher than 10th, but it is a pretty deep class and he should go late 1st or early 2nd. I'd think Wilson and Olave go ahead of him (though I think Bell vs. Olave is debatable), same with Burks from Arkansas and London from USC (even with the injury). Williams from Alabama, Dotson from Penn St., and Pickens from UGA will probably be up there as well.

Bell probably should be in the 4-7 range for WR's, but the top 8 is a pretty strong group overall, even if there isn't anyone that is likely on the level of a JaMarr Chase.

With the style of offenses in CFB I believe most classes with be loaded with WRs. This class is very good. IMHO Burk, Wilson, Bell, Williams are the best. But you have another group that includes Olave, Dotson, Pickens, London, Metchie that should go in the first couple of rounds. And a few others who will slide into day three that are super interesting in Wan'dale, Flowers, Doubs, Shakir, Jones Jr,

If Olave runs a great 40 time, then he’s going to move into the top half of the first round. His route running and hands are excellent and he has NFL size.

    He supposedly has a 4.38.

Tyler Goodson just announced he’s declaring for the draft and will not play in the citrus bowl. Don’t see him being any higher than a late 3rd rounder. Our ppg will now go down 11.6.

It would probably be in his best interest to come back tbqh. Run behind a line with more experience. RBs are a dime a dozen these days. Don't see him getting drafted. Good luck to the young man.

Leaving ESPN entirely seems like a bad idea. ESPN is still the biggest CFB media brand and you're just asking for them to shut you out by walking away, and that seems like an especially bad deal for basketball if you're stuck putting all your mid-week games on FS1 and BTN.

Is that prediction for both sports or just football. Moving entirely off ESPN isn't a great idea for football, but it's an absolutely horrible deal for basketball.
