Commentators are so pro Davis it sucks. He is winning but Cruz gets no credit and Davis gets talked up for having his punches blocked. Cruz won the 10th.
I would love to see the official cards when they come out to see if Davis not having a good 12th fucked him in those 7-5 cards.
i think Davis won the 12th. I thought Davis started out slow and lost the first 3 If not the first 4. The 4th to me is the difference between the draw and 7-5. Idk if we need a rematch if Davis was hurt.
Agreed. Davis found some stuff in the middle rounds that had Cruz a little froze up and when he started to pick him apart I thought we were going to get a knock out. If that hand really got hurt in the 6th or 7th (Cruz thought Davis wasn’t using his left starting in the 5th) who knows what happens.
As a tank fan I thought he showed definitely some more boxing IQ and his defense for the most part was slick. However that was a pretty sloppy night from Davis. He landed some good shots but not being able to keep Cruz away / keep him from getting to Tank’s body was pretty concerning. I sort of guess Cruz is a little awkward stylistically and like I said in the last post there was a 2 and half round stretch where Davis started to pick him apart a little bit but not a good showing.
