Did you spin the Bo Jackson EP? Boldy and The Alchemist have such an incredible chemistry. Al understands how to draw out that haunting delivery from Boldy and Boldy knows just what to say over Al’s soulfully charged beats
Weird his entourage wasn’t there to stop him getting jumped and shanked ? edit: from the video it looked like a melee :( just when his shit was all coming together
What's yalls top 10 albums of the year? HWH8 Bo Jackson KD2 The house is burning Skyzoo- All the brilliant things Vince Staples Shut the fuck up talking to me The Course of the Inevitable/ Lloyd Banks Weight Of The World Pray for Haiti I honestly believe the B Side of HWH8 was better than any album released last year
Definitely loved Vince Staples's, Nas's, and Benny the Butcher's album. Really disappointing year for mainstream albums. Maybe my favorite was The Culture III. Also enjoyed Lute's album. Gonna give To Kill a Sunrise another listen today.
I think the best thing that happened in hip hop this year was Stacks verse on life of the party. it’s just fucking incredible
That’s The Butcher, my guy. Conway recently said he’s got 4 albums left. One is LuLu 2, one is his shady debut, another with Big Ghost and another special project. I’m assuming this one is gonna bet one of the first two
ASAP Rocky and preem on a track? Yes please https://www.instagram.com/nas/p/CX1NIsRlzg9/?utm_medium=copy_link
Lotta people having Benny and Harry’s album on their aoty lists but I thought Pyrex Picasso was a much better album
This could be cool his rant on industry cats killing the hip hop spirit and clowns running and snitching at the end of the track is great and made legendary by the fact that as soon as it fades out one of the dopest hip hop samples oat comes through your headphones
Premier catalog is pretty impressive I think my first song I loved of his Crooklyn Dodgers song when I was freshman in high school
Scarface on betrayal is unbelievable Devin The Dude and Doobie Ashtray he flowed with southern rappers. It’s crazy how a dude from Houston was so influential wrt the New York sound
Doobie Ashtray is so good Dilla is my #1 but Premo is in the top group for sure. Gang Starr was really my first exposure to true hip-hop. Probably lucky in that regard
