Yes, make sure they have no fucking say in the playoff pairings and be done with them. Basketball is a different story, but I think in a few years it could be fine as well.
I don't know how it works. Maybe they're completely separate, considering the B1G has had a bunch of weekend afternoon games on CBS forever even though there weren't any FB games on CBS. Basketball losing ESPN seems like it would be a disaster for both the B1G and ESPN.
If we break with ESPN, then there is no way we can allow the CFP to be televised exclusively by ESPN.
This is true, maybe spend less time on recruiting and more on developing and you guys won’t have to fake injuries.
Mich Tech won three natties. I walked completely unaware into the den in the coaches house, and was pretty impressed with the trophies.
That's cool. I just have family in the U.P. and some of them have gone to Lake State. But I remember one of my cousins talking mad shit about college hockey.
The NFL date is 1/17/22, with 1/20/22 to withdraw if a player declares and reconsiders. This is where OSU stands: QB Stroud back RB Henderson back WR Smith Nijgba back WR Olave gone WR Wilson gone LT Petite-Frere gone LG Munford gone C Wypler back RG Paris Johnson back RT Dawand Jones maybe TE Ruckert gone Of those guys, Ruckert and Munford played in the Rose Bowl. Our WRs are going to be elite again based upon their play in the bowl. Dawand Jones should stay. If he does, we’re in great shape because Paris Johnson will play LT. Matt Jones, Donovan Jackson or Harry Miller take the interior spots. Miller may not play again though. DE Smith gone DT Garret gone DT Jackson gone DE Harrison maybe LB Chambers back LB Simon back LB/S Hickman back CB Burke back CB Brown back S Shaw back S Williamson gone Our defense is an abomination. We have a new DC coming online, and need major changes.
Hot take after watching the last two OSU games, so I'm pretty much an expert... Miyan Williams is a better runner than Henderson, but for some reason never plays.
Henderson is the fastest RB we have had since Elliott, but he isn’t strong enough to run between tackles yet. He’s an 18 year old true freshman, so he’s probably coming back much bigger in August. Henderson also is our best receiver at RB in a long time. Williams definitely has a role though. He missed three games midseason. We also started the year with Master Teague ahead of both of them.
Henderson also doesn't have great vision and isn't great at following his blocks. When in space he's unbelievable because his athleticism is off the charts but he's got a ways to go as a running back. Which seems reasonable since he's only played the position a couple years now.
My complaint with Henderson is that he waits too long, trying to make a perfect cut or hit the seam for a big run. Sometimes it’s not there and you just need to lower your shoulder to fall forward for four yards instead of letting the defense catch you for one.
What’s the thinking on that hire? looking at it - I see 3 top 20 Defenses that he’s led since 2009. Doesn't appear to be a monster recruiter or monster coach. Is it just stability on that side of the ball coupled with a ton of talent?
