To be honest, most of my kids' friends' parents question why they put so many soap and paper towel dispensers in the vaping rooms, anyway.
Bunch of kids in my area started some snapchat group to threaten schools. Ages are 12-14 and they are all getting caught. It's sad https://www.woodtv.com/news/muskego...ace-charges-for-threats-made-against-schools/
This makes a lot more sense now. This week there seemed to be extra police presence at the entry points to my daughter’s high school. Wasn’t aware of this stupidity before.
Giving middle school aged kids a social media account is such a bad fucking idea. I’d rather give my daughter a bottle of Jack Daniels and a joint than give her Ig, snap or Tik tok these fucking parents man
my daughters’ school was part of this shit. I can’t tell you how fucked up and helpless you feel when your kid begs you to go pick them up because they are scared. What I mean is obviously you run out the door to go get them but you can’t take that fear away. Wish I’d have known I have kept them home.
i would agree with you but like your edit says we live in a society that has mass shootings at schools. It’s not the obvious bullshit of edibles or razors in candy. If this makes me a “Facebook mom” who falls for hysteria oh well.
I just hate that the cops/media gave the story legs. The one TikTok video that encouraged calling in a threat didn't have close to the circulation that the coverage has.
I get what you’re saying I do. I try to be a rational individual. I try and think “hey that car with the lights off isn’t a group of gangsters about to put a cap in my ass if I flash the high beams at them”. But, my kids make me an irrational dumbass. It might be dumb to compare it but I think about the Oxford and that those parents should have been alerted. I do understand that threat was more credible than this random one but like I said this shit turns me into a bigger dumbass than usual. When we were in school our parents would have rightfully dismissed it as stupidity now it’s hard to do so.
The number of teens who don't realize the stuff they put on snapchat does not, in fact, just vanish is crazy to me. Still remember having this talk with a class a couple years ago and this smug ass 15 year old replied with "bro, what?" and brushed me off as if there was no way police and government agencies could ever track down his snapchat history.
And you would have had to kill him in defense of a hotel lobby, which would not have been amazing for your psyche even if you were successful.
5 Dead, Including Suspect, In Violent Crime Spree In Denver & Lakewood. 3 others wounded https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...at-spanned-denver-ended-in-lakewood?_amp=true
647 instances of mass shooting (4 or more injured or killed not including the gunman) just this year. Smh.
i'm sure this has been explained before but why does colorado specifically seem to have so many mass shootings, not gun violence or deaths, but mass shootings
Was reading into this and supposedly the gunman targeted different tattoo shops. Went to three different ones and then just started shooting people indiscriminately as the cops closed in.
perusing some of this guy's tweets... yeah, he was a straight up Nazi. Edit: also, really well known in the sort of far right pseudo philosopher / anti-feminist / anti-vaxxer spheres. There's got to be 2 dozen interviews of this guy on youtube
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...tremist-views-sources-tell-abc-news?_amp=true During a news conference Tuesday, a spokesperson with the Denver Police Department confirmed McLeod was on the radar of law enforcement and had been investigated on two prior occasions — once in mid-2020 and most recently in early 2021. Police decline to answer questions about what those investigations entailed, only saying they did not lead to criminal charges against him. ... During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, officials with the Denver Police Department said all of the Denver victims were known to McLeod, but did not specify as to his relationship with any of the victims. ... State business records obtained by ABC News indicate McLeod used to own a tattoo business in Denver called Flat Black Ink. It appears McLeod had left the business by 2017, according to the records.
Another right wing pyscho with a hyper inflated sense of self-importance and far too many guns. Maybe one day we'll look into doing something about all these domestic terrorists operating out in plain sight? One can dream.

If I'm correct, the Denver red pilling piece of shit wrote a book. A summary written by himself: https://neovictorian23.wordpress.co...ur-time-of-the-neoreaction-of-the-future/amp/ The basics are Spoiler [he] has endured a great many things in his life, betrayal and insults and theft of his property, that an Alpha would, until modern times, have responded to with proper and necessary violence. Lyndon takes it all and moves on, starts over building new businesses and romantic relationships, until one day (for reasons you’ll have to read to find out), he decides enough is enough, and systematically and indeed, artistically, eliminates 46 of the individuals who thought they could get away with fucking him over.” Here's an Amazon review of his book, Sanction: After seeing raving views on twitter and amazon I decided to give this book a go. While it touches on some modern problems that are worth covering (Religion and science, political division, materialism, etc.) they devolve from any sort of helpful nuance into all out petulant fits of rage. I don't strongly identify with democrats or republicans on a lot of things and I enjoy a strong critique of both. But this book is packed full of rants on diversity, women, and globalization. There are fantasies of killing people involved in the BLM movement, and bizarre threats to Ben Shapiro/Sam Harris/and others. While others may be guilty of ignoring the necessity of violence in some extreme situations, this book fetishizes violence as the great equalizer. The only "real men" to the author are men who live in the woods, have skull tattoos, and hunt bears. Anything other than this results in "weak men". One of the greatest ironies of the book is the supposed pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps alpha author whines that the world doesn't mold itself to his desires. And finally on a literary level this book reads like a convoluted run on sentence. It seems to attempt Jordan Peterson-esqe style rambling forgetting that at least Peterson comes to some sort of conclusion. It attempts to sound smart by taking some random word in every sentence and finding a replacement in a thesaurus which results in unnecessarily complicating everything. The bottom line is that Sanction is an angry alt-right wolf wrapped in science fiction wool. and the back cover features his racial purity and what appears to be a wolfs hook rune on a skull One of his twitter posts
so just did a bit of a calculation, using 2021 statistics and using the rather limited data available I found about 1 HS shooting for about every 1000 HS out there, this obviously doesnt take into accoutn a bunch of stuff in poorer neighborhoods which will be defined away as "gang violence" or other such tropes. Effectively this means that when you send a kid to HS he has about half a percent chance of experiencing a HS shooting, and when you are in a state like texas those numbers go up quite a bit, just insane
It's very easy to get a gun in Colorado and they have more of a gun culture than what people would assume - is my 2 cents. Mass shootings I have no idea other than it's really easy to get a gun - but certainly not any different than some southeastern and northwestern areas of the US that have dramatically less mass shootings. France has like 80% of the country that grow up hunting to some degree and they have basically zero school shootings. They've had three attacks in the last decade and all were confirmed islamist attacks unless I'm forgetting some. Australia - pretty much every one of my friends there has a gun they just don't have AKs and rocket launchers and seemingly all of the really bad attacks or incidents are due to interpersonal conflicts (work, wife, gf, etc.).
he had pictures of SS lightning bolts etched in animal skulls on his twitter feed. You can probably start there
