Anybody willing to share their dvr experience with other streamers? i almost never watch anything live. Just have yttv record all cfb and nfl. I love never having to alter my schedule for sports and to never watch commercials.
It’s the least they could do. The contract expired, they aren’t paying Disney anymore, not sure they could legally continue charging the in place rate considering the reduction in content. Hell for all we know YTTV’s profit margin could have increased.

This is a really good reminder of how terrible things used to be (and still are for old people). A lot of complaints because we have to log in to a website to sign up for a free trial or two websites if you’re just tired of YTTVs contract issues. Either way there is limitless freedoms which is far better than being handcuffed to a service for two years.

IF by the end of their free trial, YTTV/Disney still haven't come to terms? Then sign up for the other company's free trial. That will take you to after the New Year if needed.

I thought T-Mobile also did a cable service; although, I’m not sure if you need to be on their network already.

Was looking more at Hulu Live as a longterm option to YTTV. Aside from DVR storage (which isn’t an issue for me), what are the other downsides to Hulu? We’ve had YTTV for years and it has been fine, but Hulu Live seems to be basically the same. What am I missing with Hulu Live?
That seems to be the biggest negative for me as well and its not that big of a deal. the two screens only sucks
Were good with 2 screens for a few years at least. Will give it a try if all this stuff doesn’t work itself out by the time my Fubo trial ends.
What’s so bad about the Hulu interface? I have the regular service and it’s not great, but 99% of the time I just search for what I want and find it easily.
Part of the reason this stuff only happens with YTTV is bc they have the backing of Google and can afford to play hardball. In most cases cable companies have continued to let Disney exec jack up the price and then pass those costs on to the consumer. I figure this should last a week or two at the most. I am going by setup the free Fubu subscription if I need it. Hopefully YTTV execs realize the next time their agreement expires needs to be timed during the off-season instead of bowl season. Terrible foresight on their part.
skipped the last couple pages of posts. Probably some whining within. both companies look bad, Google takes the L this time. Hulu (aka Disney) is the victor. For some unknown reason, Google's language in the update specifically refers to signing up for the "Disney Bundle". Basically two things, if you're platform agnostic. cancel and go wherever you like. sounds like on a few twitter replies, that there were plenty doing this. If you prefer YTTV (like me), add another service temporarily. Use your free trials or make dummy emails to get another trial Check your credit card for streaming service credits to help offset carrying multiple.
I think both companies are to blame, but I also have to think Disney is playing hardball to get more people over to its own service. Whatever. It’ll get fixed eventually.
