Tell me about Flagstaff. Going there with the wife and a few other couples in early March. I plan on making the drive to the Grand Canyon one day. What else is cool?

Are you guys outdoors people? Enjoy Breweries? Types of food? Sedona is fairly close.

Love breweries. Enjoy the great outdoors. Love all types of food, especially the things done well native to that area. I’ve never been to Arizona so I’m open to anything.

Lumberyard Brewery has probably the biggest selection of beer and food. 2nd best is probably Dark Sky brewery and has a pizza place inside. Def do a hike either in flagstaff or Sedona. Not sure how aggressive you want the hike to be, so I won't give any recommendations. I always go to a really good Thai place called Pato Thai. A great breakfast place is Mike and Ronda's.

As Rover said, if you feel like driving to Page, probably about a 2 hour drive, horseshoe bend is a must but extremely busy, especially at sunset, thanks to IG. So is Antelope Canyon. Just Google either of those. You need a permit for Antelope.

Sedona is such a weird town but such an incredible place to just look at. I love it

Pizzicleta in Flagstaff is very good.

Sedona Brewery in Sedona is a nice spot if you end up there. And Elote Cafe is probably the best restaurant.

I have mixed feelings on Sedona. It’s beautiful but the dining and drink options are pretty limited and that’s typically how I enjoy experiencing places. It’s also extremely expensive.

If you want something cool to do in Sedona, Pink Jeep Tours is a good time. Sounds touristy as hell (it is) but it’s a good way to see a ton of great spots in Sedona in a short amount of time

my hikes to tackle in the Sedona area list is as follows, would welcome any insight from people who might be familiar with what is on/not on the list

    - Devil's Bridge Trail #120. Sounds like the road into this place can be really rough
    - West Fork of Oak Creek #108. There's apparently 14 miles of canyon that you can cover past the main trail. Was told there is like a $12 fee and that the trailhead fills up quickly
    - Brins Mesa Trail #119
    - Fay Canyon Trail #53
    - Doe Mountain Trail #60
    - Bear Mountain Trail #54 (sounds like this could be an all-day deal if you want it to be)
    - Cathedral Rock Trail #170

Coconino National Forest is pretty absurd

would recommend to park at Mescal Trailhead for Devil's Bridge. take the Mescal trail to Chuck Wagon trail and you will get easier parking, 2 extra miles of nice hiking (with good views at times), and avoid a shitty road that is populated with jeeps. do need to get out early though because if you want pictures on the bridge, the line starts to fill up early.

I’m a patient man but waiting for people on the bridge made me want to beat the shit out of them. And they were probably very nice. But Jesus take the fucking picture already.

    Where are you again?

I’m a big fan of New Mexico style Mexican, place in North Mesa called the Blue Adobe grill that is about my favorite. Barrio Cafe is the “famous” spot in Phoenix and it’s definitely good

If you want a really divey hole in the wall, El Norteno on 7th Ave and Roosevelt is great. Cash only, very limited outdoor seating.

Wow there isn't a bad seat in the Footprint Center. Really nice venue. Smoked three bowls in a garage near Chase Field on Jefferson. First time in Phoenix as an adult so pardon me for making a jackass of myself this weekend

Drive down I-17 was so pretty

You must have got lucky and missed out on the traffic on that stretch of 17. It can be miserable on the best of days

You will probably like the area Taco Chelo is in. If you’re feeling extra fat El Norteno is down the street from there.

Alternatively you can also take the light rail from the arena.

When it comes to THC vape carts in AZ, it seems KIND live resin are far and away the best?

They're really good and seem to truly be 100% live resin. Anyone hear differently or have other suggestions for non-distillate carts?

Gonna try and get a med card here soon, looks relatively easy

I tried to go to Blue Adobe on Christmas Eve. It said it would be open and it was not.

Ended up across the street at George's Gyros which was very good.

FYI, just got back from the dispensary and lady there told me not to buy KIND carts because they mislead people about their extraction process and the solvents involved. So going to be buying Everest brand carts from them because they really do just use 100% fresh pressed rosin. Zero solvents or additives at any point in the production process. Will keep an eye out for the Timeless Live Resin down the road

Can you get an Uber when you finish the Camelback hike? Also, has anyone done one of the e-bike tours? Bringing a team for work out there and heard this was something decent to do with them and figured i would ask

Jerome was super neat. Took 89 down through Sedona Saturday and went to the State Historic Park. My dad would enjoy that museum for sure

Loved the actual drive up to Jerome, really windy. And you can see the San Francisco Peaks from that museum area which was cool. Will need to go further up Mingus Mountain next time

AZ is such a good state for exploring

I've only done it once but they recommended we uber there because parking can be dicey - and that we would have to walk a bit to be able to call the uber back because the drop off is a little bit aways from the end of descent. You're coming off going downhill for an hour though so honestly the walk was fine.

Also if it's a work trip I'd just pay for an uber to stay there and wait for you. We just paid the uber cash to stay there for 2 hours and were able to get out pretty fast.

I went up the echo canyon trail two weeks ago. We just walked because our hotel was a mile away. I went by the day before on my morning run and by sunrise the parking lot was full. It has to be really common to do rideshare there or else no one would be able to get there.

Yea we were told to bike or uber - I was not ready for a bike ride and a hike back to back so went the pussy route.
