I traded in an 11 Pro which they valued at $1000, i also didn't have to upgrade my line. Looks like I ended up paying $231 all told looking at my credit card history.
I thought I’d miss it when I got the 11 a couple years ago but I can’t imagine having it now. Get frustrated needing to use it on my iPad
Just got our 13 Pros in the mail. Picking this thing up compared to the 8 is something. Didn't expect it to be so heavy. Feels like a tank in my hand compared to my old phone. Definitely didn't fully get that feeling when just futzing with it in a Verizon store when its bolted to the display stand.
Pro just arrived. Pretty massive upgrade over the 12 Mini, across the board… But, feel like I’ll miss how large it made my hands & penis appear

i just stopped using chrome and mine is fine. I do feel like I have to reboot it more than usual though. I monitor the RAM and things seem fine but it really bogs down more than i'd like.
I hate VZW’s software so much. Ordered the regular 13 on accident. Coulda been my bad but I doubt it. After 3 dropped help chats and multiple website/app crashes I finally resolved it around the ~4 hr mark. There must be a big surplus of minis vs the 13s: it’s now shipping immediately whereas the regular wouldn’t have until end of Dec.
Apple TV is up and running and I’m going to word doc then ignore anyone who implied this is even in the same league as a fire stick. Even without the “ecosystem” it’s so much nicer, I now have Ethernet connection as an option again, and the Home Screen doesn’t look like something Bang Energy designed.

Something called assistantd keeps popping up and asking for my login in for keychain…..I’m guessing don’t do that but it’s happened several times anyway to make it stop? 2013 MacBook Air
generally it pops up when there is a password mismatch between user/admin password and the keychain password if you put your user password in, does it go away or pop right back up? (it's safe to put your password in)
I still have my Macbook Pro from 2013. I am considering upgrading. Is this a good time to do so? I haven't even gotten around to reading about the latest line. Planning on doing that later tonight.
Yes. The latest model is the first in a completely new redesign. Future models will just have incremental upgrades.
agree with Truman's take. only thing i could suggest is to wait until the 2nd gen comes out, as they might potentially work out kinks with this 1st gen. this coming from a guy who bought a 1st gen intel model that almost burnt my dick off.
I’m gonna do it. It has been decided. Definitely gonna get the 14 inch. Just gotta decide if the 8 core, 16gb memory will suffice or if I need the upgraded shit. Don’t think I need a terabyte of storage.
Wasn't there a keyboard on a recent line of Macs that was notoriously horrible? I assume the new MPB does not have that.
I think your referring to the butterfly keys? Not positive. My MBP has them and they are a bit noisier but otherwise fine. On another note, my girlfriend had a late 2011 MBP and it couldn’t upgrade the OS anymore and she needed to for her job. Got her the low end new MacBook Air for an early Xmas present and that thing runs extremely well.
yes it was the butterfly keyboard. I have a 2018 MacBook Air that had the key stick issue that was commonly reported. Mine was replaced in 2019/2020 with at the time the scissor keyboard. No issues whatsoever as of today. Apple is generally pretty good with making bad things right.
Except they had a good keyboard then kept the bad butterfly keyboard around for way too long. Big self own for them.
I am also looking for a matte clear case that is MagSafe compatible. I don’t like the shiny clear ones because they show fingerprints so bad
Just placed my order for the 14-inch space gray MBP. I didn't upgrade anything except an extra $20 for the 96w charger (not sure if that's even a need but whatever). I think the 16gb memory and 512gb storage will be plenty for me. Trading in my 2015 for $350. I checked the prices on Ebay and that's right around what they seem to be selling for on there too.
