Spoiler I assume every memory people have of "Peter Parker as Spider-Man" is replaced with just "Spider-Man" and no one has any knowledge of who is under the mask. So Happy got close to May first through her helping Spider-Man. As to why she was helping Spider-Man, Happy would probably just go blank and say he couldn't remember.
Spoiler that' s why it's confusing if that's all the memory wipe did and they just don't remember whose under the mask but all the history is there couldn't he just clean some cobwebs like Andrew did and everything is restored to normal? It just seemed like it was deeper than that bec when Strange initially did the spell they were just going to forget Peter was Spider-man and he didn't want to go through the hassle of revealing to Mj, Ned, May etc that he was SM again. The end spell seemed like it was erasing Peter Parker from everyone's memory all together.
That new blue suit was perfection. I hope we get some high rez shots of it. It was clearly a purely CG model, but I hope there's concept art showing off the detail at least.
That was a much lighter blue right? And did some of the design elements come from both Tobey and Garfield suits?
I think they were shooting for the classic Spider-Man look more than anything. At least that's what I thought.
Purple hooded Goblin was perfect. It's still not quite comic accurate but it's infinately better than the old mask with the frozen face
Anyone else feel like whatever is next for Tom’s spidey will almost assuredly bring in Gwen and Miles?
Saw it earlier today. -Thought it was really good, but didn’t crack my top 3. -Loved how well they paid homage to the previous Spidey’s and villains. -I expected this film to be a bigger jump-off point for the future of the MCU than it was. -I’ll miss MJ, hope they work her back in. -Really excited for the MoM, but I thought a teaser for it rather than a whole trailer would be more appropriate.
The multiverse was introduced on a big scale, though Loki was really the jumping off point of that. Have to gradually bring the multiverse into this phase, not just open with Multiverse of Madness and Quantumania because they're both probably going to be bat shit crazy. I'm guessing there'll be an Avengers movie where they defeat Kang and seal the multiverse permanently, but not before some mutants get stuck in this universe...
Loved Strange complain about dangling over the Grand Canyon for 12 hours nice nod to Loki “I’ve been FALLING FOR THIRTY MINUTES”
After a couple days, I really hate that this got set into motion because Peter was talking too much during Strange’s spell. Strange is supposed to be the most powerful sorcerer alive and was casting spells while facing (and holding his own against) an almost fully powered up Thanos. Really lazy writing IMO
I wasn’t really because he was talking but more so that Peter kept making him change the spell when he was already starting to cast it.
i hope so. Strange is a control freak and a perfectionist. No way he fucks that up. And no way he doesn’t take point on fixing it.
True but not helping to hunt down the others, telling 3 kids to “Scooby-Doo this shit” it was funny but out of character.
I mean, he was blipped for 5 years, we are due for some changes to what is in or out of character for him.
I mean they revealed he isn’t the sorcerer supreme even, and you expect him to just be the same character?
Sorcerer Supreme is a title. Wong got it because Strange was gone, not because he’s more powerful than him. Also don’t get what you’re saying about expecting him to be same character? Nothing in the other shows/movies implies that people changed after they got snapped back into reality. If anything, from their perspective it lasted all of 2 seconds.
he fixed the spell, Peter stopped him from finishing the process, he came back and was going to finish the process and then saw how sincere Peter was about trying to fix it his way that he relented and allowed him to try while providing him with a failsafe. he even noted how they saved half the universe together so he clearly did it out of respect for Peter and what they had been through.
Strange has always been a snarky a-hole. He's very much a "Tony Stark without his morning coffee" kind of guy. I thought his character here was consistent from Infinity War and his own movie.
Strange being that willing to help Peter with something that personal seems more unlike Strange than him not being able to contain a spell he was warned against practicing by a superior.
Why wouldn’t Dr. Strange let an Avenger fix this problem? Peter wanted to fix it and told Strange he would but needed his team.
Also, the spell was changed 5 times, Strange says it was 6 but the prism the spell was contained in had 6 sides. Meaning Strange added himself to the spell
