Allen would’ve been dogshit in Cleveland imo. Allen success isn’t all him. Buffalo has done a tremendous job developing him
Revisonist as hell, after 30 straight journeymen and multiple 1st round busts, last thing cleveland would do was hitch their wagon to a career 46% completion project in the 1st round
Allen is too talented to be dogshit anywhere. Allen with Odell, Landry and that running game would have been unbelievable
Apparently you forgot how awful he looked and Buffalo worked to help him improve. Something the browns aren't capable of as a franchise. Allen was awful his last year at Wyoming and his first two years in the pros
He was not awful his first two years just look at his games vs Miami. He was just a normal young QB on a below average team
josh allen isn’t good in buffalo where theyve given him every advantage on earth why on earth would someone think he’d be good in cleveland
I was one of the few believers in Allen right through, but it's not a troll at all to say he wasn't good his first two years. He had flashes of brilliance but the overall product wasn't good.
No benefit of doubt is being given. The only point was that the throw made is irrelevant when there’s a clear penalty on the play. Throw the flag and it’s like rough one Baker, but here’s another chance
Was strong in the camp that the Browns should keep Baker, but now I don't blame them if they drafted his replacement.
Mayfield being so awful despite the best OL you can conceive of and having solid to great talent at the skill positions... Can even the OU fan base be defending him at this point?
Not that it absolves him of terrible decisions but I think he's pretty clearly not 100% physically right now.
also two of his picks were really not his fault. to say nothing of stefanski abandoning the run at midfield with all 3 timeouts. baker sucks tho and it’s what he deserves for talking shit about dimes (i can talk shit about that bum but not him)
Tua has been much better in years 1 and 2 and you say he's awful yet Allen wasn't awful. Weird how that works.
Browns picked up his 5th year option at like 19 million before the season right? Guess he’s got 1 more year in Cleveland to make it right. Whatever happens I’m sure there is GM out there that’s going try and make him their starter once his time in Cleveland is done
No way to know how much truth there is to this. But after another disappointing season, I’d be surprised if the Browns wasted another year of their diminishing championship window on Baker.
Who knows. I haven’t followed the Watson thing on awhile, so no clue if he can play next year or not. Certainly seems like Cleveland and Baker would both be better off if they moved on.
Not sure off the top of my head if there’s a precedent or not of the NFL taking action against a player that settles their legal issues out of court. Seems justified to suspend him simply for the optics. One case could be bogus, settled, and no action needed. But 20+ seems warranted of some punishment. That said, I believe 100 percent he’ll play next year. Houston can’t be that stupid/stubborn to turn down offers again out or principle.
weird how you left out his 2nd year where he threw 20 TDs, led the league in GWDs, and rushed for 9 TDs
bro posts a tweet because he wants to bring attention to his team's QB, bro doesnt like the attention his team's QB is getting itt play stupid games...
More attention for Allen please. Not sure what you are talking about. He made about 4 throws yesterday that Baker could never dream of completing.
He also had at least one that should have been an easy pick dropped. I remember like two throws later too Aikman saying "Baker is really on this drive".
I mean look at the numbers I posted. Tua is better across the board. Completion %, ypa, air yards, basically everything. Allen made a huge jump in year 3 but that's not the discussion. bro said Allen wasn't bad in years 1 and 2 yet claims Tua is awful but the numbers show Tua was clearly better in his first 2 years.
normally, i would think cleveland should either chase one of the best qbs who will be available (wilson, cousins?, rodgers, hopefully not gross watson) but probably resign themselves to signing a top backup like tennesee did with mariota/tannehill. but cleveland already did that with keenum and stefanski has had no interest in actually playing him.
seems strange to me that a guy that doesnt care how bama guys do in the pros would spend some of his christmas digging through some stats on pro football reference to show up some posters online
Siap but just saw this in the ESPN+ QB rankings On Saturday, Cleveland's Baker Mayfield was 2-of-10 for 40 yards and four interceptions on throws to targets at least 10 yards downfield, per ESPN Stats & Information. jesus
Getting paid millions to be an NFL quarterback yet we've reached the point where he completes a pass and the announcers refer to it as a "rare strike."
