Too difficult. I'm always excited to see him too. Good think my pee gets absorbed rather than landing on the floor.
Carlos working. Carlos posing. Carlos being ignored by a bull who has seen his bullshit for far too long and harbors much disgust for his general presence and existence. Carlos and Gus having drinks to celebrate a day of mayhem and getting yelled at for fucking around too much.
The other day he went outside and laid down after peeing and I literally had to carry him back into the house. I thought I was going to have to take him back to the vet again, but yesterday he was moving a lot better and it seems like the joint pills are starting to make an impact. It's been about three weeks of him taking them.
I started taking fish oil years ago for my joints and I noticed a difference after about a month. Keep it up! I’m glad to hear that your pup made a rebound after his scare.
Noticed my yellow lab had a scabby/hairless red spot adjacent to his anus. It's kind of rough to the touch and doesn't seem to hurt him. Guessing an abscessed anal gland? Seems to be in the right spot based on a terrible Google image search. Anyone have any experience with a dog with one of those?
Sounds like Dierks has DLE (Discoid Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus), which is the form of lupus that you want between the two. No known reason how it comes about and, as the vet agreed, we assume he's had it for a couple of years. His nose always get slightly dry during the deep winter months, though nothing that OTC hasn't taken care of in the past. Moving to Colorado must've exacerbated it. Luckily, only his nose sees symptoms. Doxycycline and vitamin E should do the trick. Other than that, he's a young and healthy looking soon to be 9 year old shepherd.
Had to put my 5 year old Boykin down yesterday. He had lymphoma. Just keep randomly crying. Just miss him. Not sure why I posted this here but anyway.
it’s just so painful, you can post about it here all you want, everybody here kind of know how you feel and it helps to let it out. I was a complete mess here when we had to put the family dog to sleep forever. It still stings, just the life of good dog owners.
Sabo was 105 pounds in October, 101 on Nov 27th, and today when I took him in he was at 83 pounds. We just found out he's diabetic. So basically like father like son. Just gave him his first insulin shot.
omg makes me wish mine were puppies again. My bulldogs are true LA puppers. Spit in the sidewalk and they will refuse to go out to do their business. So I went out and got them ponchos. I present the ultimate in cuteness. Bulldog in rain poncho with a Fanny pack lol. IDK what I will put in the Fanny pack
I always tie the poop bag on this metal loop on the leash. Highly recommend getting a leash with one. Spoiler
My parents (mid 70s white people) have a mini labradoodle that’s doesn’t get nearly enough exercise. I’ve been running this fucker ragged all week and he’s loving every minute of it. (So am I.)
Any recommendations on a good mesh fence product? Need to secure our fence as we found out our new rescue pup can fit through the slats. Spoiler
Truman turns 10 today. Tried to find the first post about him itt but the search doesn’t go back that far. Time flies.
This is best with the sound on. Despite the violence, they’re actually best buds and do this shit for hours on end until someone responsible boots the closest one in the side and yells to get in the kennel.
My neighbors have got to be the biggest morons possibly ever. When Teddy was a puppy they would continuously call him to the fence and I asked them to stop because I didn’t want him to learn to jump up on and and possibly jump the fence. Now that he’s a dog he’s easily able to jump and does. I’ve had to resort to chaining him up in the back yard which fucking sucks. The neighbors still won’t respect my requests. Now, when Teddy is chained their girls come out and call to him and he chokes himself trying to ge to them. After a year and a half of pleading, I told the little girl, “What sense does it make to call him when he’s chained up and choking himself?” She ran inside. This AM, she’s back out doing the same thing. I told her, “Please, leave the dog alone.” And she says, “You don’t talk to me. Talk to my dad!” So I said, “Bring him out.” Both her mom and dad come out screaming at me, telling me to “shut the fuck up and she can talk to the dog if she wants. If you talk to my daughter again, we’re calling the cops.” How hard is it to leave a fucking dog alone?
Yeah. The cops actually showed up at my door just a minute ago. When I told them this had been going on for almost two years he was in disbelief. They are over talking to the neighbors now.
The neighbor is one of my high school friend’s eldest brother. Never met him before he moved in, but I remember his dad and mom calling him the “idiot of the family” multiple times and it certainly resonates.
