I bought some Top Shot rares in anticipation for the rare showcase challenge of the top five scorers. I guessed four of the top five before the results but the one I didn’t get (Patty Mills) went from $200 to over $2,800 today. If I ever buy a Patty Mills for $2K I deserve to be locked up.
I’ll probably break even. Harden is 50% from what it was last night but the rest are up a bit. Mills was an outlier because there are only 450 total rares for him. They haven’t even announced the rewards yet but I don’t see anyway it would be worth doing at this price.

I bought Lebron, harden, steph. I bought the same Steph for $250 less than I sold it for out of my first TopShot pack.
Don’t put too much stock in my opinions. I’ve been liquidating my account except for hall of famers. I figured my ultimate downside in all the ones I had to buy wasn’t that large. I still was paying less than the CS ratios I was commenting on earlier this week (ex LeBron) vs floor series 3s.
I only had to purchase a Harden to complete the easy and medium challenges. Not fucking around with the hard one.
If the Mills comes down to under $2K, I will probably do it. The mint on it will be extremely low. I think it is a good idea to keep some of these superstar rares for future challenges like these.

Yeah, no one is doing that unless they already had a LeBron but these challenges and the variety of them have been great for the marketplace and engagement. They’ve went from using rares, certain play types, and debuts. Weird guys you would never expect to be in the top five finish that way.
Is there a tool out there that could tell me the collector score for owning the entire Series 3 base set? Will OTMNFT do that? Just top of mind it's 181 moments at just 2 CS each, but double it for the set and that's 724, but then aren't there "team series completion" bonuses as well?
I can’t say, but every time I try to complete a set they add more, so I have many “incomplete” sets. So be wary of that 181 mark. you can also check your status with individual teams when you review your CS on top shot. It will tell you what you have and provide links to market filtered by individual players that you’re missing (note that it’s based on player not moment)
Anybody had any luck advertising their listing anywhere? I've got a #1/990 serial rare Michael Redd from the Run it Back series. The various sites list it at 1800-2500ish market value, and I've had it at 1500 for a while now with no bites. I feel like somebody out there might take it just to have a relatively cheap #1 rare, but he's just not a very visible name, nobody is thinking let me go search Michael Redd
Might get into Legends of Venari. Pokémon-ish P2E game and the market place goes live in a couple weeks. They’re also going to let folks have 6-7 guest passes and then any catches/trades your guests make you get 10%
The only spot I see for that that I'm allowed to post anything is the "rookie chat". Discord used to have a ton more rooms and changed one day (on my end at least)

You are much better off completing an entire team set to get your collector points up if you want to stay on the platform and get into drops. I have both Hawks and T-Wolves and I get 300% points for every Atlanta or Minnesota moment I have. Some complete sets are relatively cheap. I would just keep dropping it $50 each week. Eventually a #1 serial collector will see it and get it but you are right. A more obscure retired player isn’t going to have a lot of fans. I’m sure there will be some Redd super fan that joins the platform one day that will pounce though but that might be a year away.
