So did the Browns, but the Houston situation is a little different. The Adams family wanted a new stadium once the Astrodome started getting dates. The city refused to pay for it and they ultimately moved the team. The family was heavily vilified for it in town, but then just 5 yrs later the city voted to build NRG stadium to get the Texans. Bud Adams died and his wife owns the Titans now and supposedly its a pretty ugly wound that the family wont ever let heal. I believe they are even on record saying things like the Oilers history belongs to the franchise, not the city of Houston.
Id love to think so, but as long as the Adams family still owns the naming rights, it doesnt look like that will ever happen. Its a petty deal
Younger you would be willing to fight homeless people? The vast majority of homeless are mentally unstable and physically frail. You have to be a real piece of shit to engage in that manner with a homeless person. The ranting and raving of the homeless is more a them thing than a you thing. Stop taking shit so personally.
Used to work in one of the worst parts of Atlanta and I'd flee this sort is interaction daily. Never a knife though thankfully.
I thought it was incredibly frustrating and not an enjoyable watch, generally. I get what it was trying to do but man I had enough of that type of thing in real life for a lifetime
i worked with the homeless on skid row. I never once felt threatened. Maybe adding the fact that the dude was homeless was unnecessary but it was the truth of who he was. He wasn’t frail and didn’t seem like he was “ranting” . He seemed angry and looked like an ex-con. Also I wasn’t saying I would have been willing to fight a homeless guy. I was saying in the past I wouldn’t have shied away from a physical confrontation. I have plenty of examples of how my stupidity almost cost me my life in the past. If it makes Wee Bey feel better to call me a pos for being honest have at it.
Went for a long hike today and a few houses down from mine there was a plastic gallon bag on the telephone pole with something in it. Didn’t get a real good look on the way out but coming back I did. It was a pretty large hard cover book, older book, no title and was some shit old book art. It was very generic art, nothing stood out about it. We also received a few inches of rain in the last 24 hours, ground is pretty saturated, but the book was dry and nailed to the pole.
for 2022 to be a success I'm going to need to see a public flogging of whomever is responsible for this dramatic Apple Watch ad that basically advertises them as a life alert replacement with real 9-1-1 calls at least lifeAlert's videos of old people obviously fake falling were cheeky and fun. These are fucked up on a few levels
Wife tested positive for COVID today after two days of symptoms. We’re both vaxxed and boosted, but no symptoms for me or the kids yet. I’m sure it’s coming, which makes this situation even worse.
Doesn’t impact what you’re saying, but his daughter actually runs the team now. His son in law (with his other daughter) ran the team right after his death and was pretty terrible. Each daughter got 1/3 and his deceased son’s children split the other 1/3.
No clue, that’s half the reason I posted it. I have a very vague understanding of geocaching, kind of thought that, but unsure of anything beyond finding coordinates. You can also only see it from one direction, some trees covering it the other way. If it was free it would be on the other pole in their yard. The direction you can see it is downhill, and the pole hugs a tree line so not really any reason you’d be looking at the pole. Going for a walk tomorrow because of this, will snap a pic if I can.
this clip showed up in my recommendations for some reason. The Rock destroying some high school kid repeatedly is supposed to be a teachable moment
Hes a great teacher. Ive made a lot of his salsas and a few of his dishes. The enchilladas verdes came out so well.
Going back to my first year living off campus in college, I've lived in 11 apartments in 7 states The Andy Ludwig lifestyle
Been on vacation since the 23rd. Aside from Xmas NBA and UM's playoff game and a little bit of the Rose Bowl that's all the sports I've followed in like 2 weeks. Feel real out of the loop
