Dereliction of parental duty. You’re discounting your partner’s behavior and complicit to the trauma it’s inflicting on the child. Check your ego. It’s not about you or your wife.
I basically get a pop quiz about various authors after working all day. Make's me feel like I'm back in jr high with the reading word power and whatever book tests were around then.
Word to the wise - be careful of these book clubs. She joins some Ivy League casual thing - "yeah babe that sounds great", literally like the first outlay was to force your partner to engage on your thoughts about your reading. AND that was much less great.
I'm glad you are keeping your child away from the dangers of pots and pans while a random gun is being hid around the house like a treasure hunt.
My experience is more along the lines of: Her - Babe have you read or heard about this book? that she obviously wants to talk about and has probably been building up to this discussion for a decent amount of time given my work schedule. Me - fine, pour me a shot and let's do this.
It’s also a fire hazard to leave cardboard in proximity to the stove top and my gut tells me that fruit is decorative.
Sometimes I like to use my Dad strength to fold the pizza box in half as much as possible so I can squeeze it into the kitchen trash can.
My city takes all the trash to the same place and they sort it there. Or they claim to, at least. It me a while to get used to it but they don’t take the recycling bin anymore.
Our local guidance is: used pizza boxes will contaminate other perfectly good recyclable items. Put them in the trash or cut away parts that haven't been touched by the grease or cheese or whatever. However, I found this article while checking myself: https://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/yes-you-can-recycle-your-pizza-boxes Contentious subject
Everything is like that. I’ve posted it before and in the family holiday thread but everything is like a giant game of hide and go seek
You can recycle the non-greasy side (top) of a pizza box. If the place uses a grease catcher, you can recycle the whole box
A lot to unpack the last few pages, but the fact you are so cavalier and talk about a gun being equal to a game of ‘hide & seek’ is legit disturbing behavior. I truly feel like you won’t take any of the other advice the board offered after the initial post. So can I at least recommended getting a safe and locking the gun up so you at least know where it’s located at all times? I don’t think anybody is trying to be preachy. There legitimately are several warning signs on where this is going to end up and it feels like you are just completely ignoring even to address the most basic of them.
If you want to understand what really went down the other night, you need to see things through the eyes of Hoss Bonaventure ‘s wife:
I didn’t see it addressed anywhere, but was she sober? Or had the weed drugs taken over her brain functioning? Not sure which answer makes it better or worse, but I’m genuinely curious.
My wife quit her job a couple weeks ago. Legit the happiest I’ve seen her and had more sex. God I love it. I just finally took over a book of insurance and got my own office so I needed to focus more on work and let her do kids and house stuff but so far its working out great. May end up being something stupid husband did but it truly is the key to Life. Happy wife happy life.
