Acapulco is actually really enjoyable. I get excited to watch it every week. My fav weekly show at the moment.
I just binged the heck out of it. First 2 episodes are a little slow but then it takes off. Excited for season 3
I found out I have a Paramount+ sub because I subscribed to 247. Haven't had the 247 sub in years but have full access to P+ now because of it. Might be worth a try for others.
I haven't tried setting em up yet, but we are supposed to get a free year of paramount + and appletv with my wife's t-mobile account So that's probably worth looking into if anyone has t-mobile
Both work for me. The ad-version of paramount kind of sucks and is glitchy. But it’s free. I have 3 years of Apple TV stacked from 3 T-mobile offers on my Apple account. I also have my Netflix paid (with the $5 buy-up). YTTV offer is $10 off, but I haven’t gone through the process of creating a new account to get that discount.
What other Hooligan movies are there? I've seen only ever seen Cass and Green Street Hooligans, and I saw The Firm (Featuring Zeberdee's little minion as the main character) on IMDB, but I've never seen any others. Edit: Found a list... https://www.wsn.com/blog/top-8-best-football-hooligan-films-ever/
There are free month codes for Paramount Plus all the time so you basically never have to pay for it. You can use the codes on either tier of it. I get the codes from the link below. I cancel before the free month expires and put the next free month code in after the free month expires. I've been doing that since this first came out. TEENWOLF is the current 2 month code. https://www.doctorofcredit.com/free...giving-works-for-new-existing-previous-users/
I've been neglecting my Sundance subscription that I have for a full year. Does anyone have or use this streaming service? Almost everything on there looks at least interesting. Des is probably my first thing to watch... I guess?
I used it to watch something last year, maybe The Americans, or this French show called The Bureau. Other than that haven't really looked
I have AMC+ which includes it. There's a shocking amount of fun spy/thriller stuff imo (Enjoyed tf out of The Bureau Kevintensity ) Shadow Lines is interesting too, although fairly goofy in places.
The Dropout on Hulu is pretty good.... Anyone watching? I read the book when it came out, listened to the pods, and watched the HBO documentary, so I know the story well, but it's pretty fascinating. Man, we're being inundated by conartists lately.... If I rank the recent shows' conartists, starting with the worst I'd go... 1. Puppet Master 2. Tinder Swindler 3. Elizabeth Holmes 4. Dirty John 5. Anna Delvey Another thing that I find interesting is that this story is not THAT much different than the Theranos one, but it's not even close to as famous. I think the main reason they have made so much more about Elizabeth Holmes' Theranos than they have about Nikola Motors is just how bizarre she is with her voice and persona.
Watched the first 3 episodes of The Dropout last night and enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend the Netflix doc on the subject as well.
I'd add Youseff, from episode 3 of "Worst Neighbor Ever" to the list. I think he'd be in the top 3, but can't make up my mind if he's the worst or 3rd worst. He stole less, but had a higher proclivity for violence, so it could be argued that he's the worst of all.
A former Navy SEAL officer investigates why his entire platoon was ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. The Terminal List starring Chris Pratt arrives on Prime Video July 1, 2022.
These come on SkyTv across the pond but eventually make it over here. An exciting modern-day reimagining of John Wyndham’s science fiction classic starring Keeley Hawes and Max Beesley. Midwich is a quiet commuter town where nothing much happens. That is, until the twilight hours of a late summer’s day, when everyone within a set area of the town falls unconscious. The curious incident seems temporary and those affected regain consciousness, but every woman of child-bearing age inside the zone has suddenly and inexplicably fallen pregnant. As the children of the phenomenon grow, it becomes clear they are not of this world. https://www.whattowatch.com/watching-guides/the-lazarus-project-cast-plot-trailer
Cypress Hill: Insane in the Brain tells the story of a brotherhood that has withstood the test of time to create a truly original, everlasting legacy. Watch the premiere on Wednesday, April 20 on SHOWTIME.
Halfway through this and its pretty damn good. From Emmy winner Stephen Merchant (The Office UK, Extras) and Elgin James (Mayans M.C.) comes THE OUTLAWS–a contemporary British comedy thriller about a disparate group of lawbreakers thrown together to complete a Community Service sentence. Seven strangers from different walks of life – people who would never normally interact – are forced to work together to renovate a derelict community center. They resent the menial physical labour and they resent each other. But when one of their number gets dragged into a dangerous world of organized crime, they unite in ways none of them thought possible.
Started Candy yesterday (on Hulu). Not bad. Jessica Biel is supposed to be unattractive yet still looks good to me.
Candy is worth a watch, almost started a thread on it. Time Traveler’s Wife on HBO however might have had the worst episode of a show I’ve seen in a while Sunday. I’ll probably keep watching but hate myself for it.
Last episode of Candy... Spoiler I don't know what to believe wrt murder, but how was she forced to talk about another affair that was irrelevant? That doesn't seem like it should hold up in court at all.
