Been a long time since I read The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt but I believe there were a few pages dedicated to his decision to spend the summer before college rowing to transform his body
Watched the new Kingsman tonight…it’s all over the place. Really didn’t enjoy it. First one was great, second was ok. This one was just plain bad imo.
not the first person i've heard say this, from people like myself that found the first two extremely watchable and fun moving directly into "on an airplane" tier watch
I’ve always thought that Occulus has a huge untapped market for Peleton style workout VR. Something you can set to run on a treadmill, like hike different trails in a national park or run different cool locations around the world.
My dad is 70 and my 12 year old son had him playing some kayaking adventure in Antarctica when they visited for Christmas. He’s never played a video game in his life, but he asked me how much an Occulous costs and where he could look at the options for game content.
I’m imaging everyone trying this for the first time and eating it so hard when they try and run without their vision and it’s pretty funny. Maybe it would be fine. Idk. An elliptical style machine that plants your feet firmly seems like a good idea.
Have you had/used other machines in the past? I’m also intrigued by the WaterRower with the drum. Lots of opinions on resistance types and video/tech/programs.
0 weeks. It was this morning. She said she made a huge mistake getting this for me. In related news, my best performance yet although I had a team of scrubs that would not help me hold positions. 91:0 ration to start the day off.
So it's the console version of Cod that streams to hit phone? I was thinking about getting into this on an ipad.
You can use this on older iPads that don’t use lightening cables. Keep in mind I watched one YouTube video on this, this morning while on a call. There may be other solutions available that I am unaware of.
I've seen videos of people using Xbox controllers but I didn't know what games they were playing. Through this thread I've learned that you can stream games from your Xbox.
Yeah YouTube has a ton of videos showing all sorts of different scenarios. I was trying to see if you could mirror your screen on a TV. Then I had calls.
Just caught the end of Speed 2 Just an absurd ending. Willem Dafoe's getaway plane crashes on an oil tanker, which is near a cruise ship port, for some reason, and explodes, igniting the tanker and presumably killing everyone on board and polluting the hell out of the beautiful carribbean water. And that is glossed over like no big deal. Also the cruise ship that runs aground starts to tip over, but is held up by 2 or 3 buildings... I'd be shocked if How Did This Get Made didn't do a podcast on it
One of the few dogs my dog will actually play with at the park is owned by an elderly lady. Last week she was complaining about her garbage disposal wasn’t working. Yesterday she said her landlord still hasn’t taken care of it or responded I offered to come over and take a look and went over this morning. She gave me a ton of homemade fig newtons. She remembered a conversation from probably years ago about how much I liked them as kid. These things are crack and I ate entire tin in one sitting. Gonna feel like shit later. Worth it. She’s def one of the good boomers
I 'fixed' it. The breaker on the disposal tripped. Told her it might happen again and showed her how to reset it. Unless you mean my disposal of the cookies. No worries, I have a squatty potty
Fig Newtons are gross but that's pretty cool. Or at least they were gross when I was a kid. Probably haven't had one in 25 years.
I think it's one of those foods that's better as an adult. I could probably eat an entire pack of fig newtons in one sitting. The apple newtons are delicious as well.
Is Patrick Swayze’s She’s Like the Wind actually a decent song or do I just get a full blown case of nostalgia pants when it comes on? I am not a reliable witness in this matter.
Just bought Two Friends tickets and at 31 years old am terrified of being in the mix at an EDM concert
I am about to remove a similarly aged Hackberry tree, which has died and hangs over my house it's sad to fuck up the tree canopy all you can do is plant more for the future
I think that internet forums like this are the 21st century version of the 17th-18th century parlor houses, where common people would debate one another, or spread their ideas on early printing presses.
Yes. Newtons of all varietals were a cookie jar staple at grandma's house an strawberry were my absolute favorite. Though I liked them all and still do
I can't believe it's taken me so long to read The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. Might be the best book I've ever read
