I don't mind Finau's hat, but he's about the only one out there that could pull it off. When you get the whole ensemble though, it looks like it belongs on an overweight guy in 1986 that drove a Lincoln or Buick
I don't get why Phil didn't come here every year. It feels like a course that would be perfect for him and he would have won a lot. Can hit it all over the place off the tee and not be punished and a lot of side hill creative shots.
Answer: 37 minutes Spoiler Question: how long into the broadcast til it turns into a FedEx Cup infomercial for a segment
NLU nailed it when they tagged Cam Smith as a rat terrier. Just a grinder who doesn't let go of a bone. He's gotta outplay swaggy Rahm on a Sunday. I don't like his chances.
I gotta say I'm hoping to see Cam Smith playing well and in contention at Augusta. The course, his game, and his vibe all seem so harmonious together.
I went today and before I give you my thoughts, I want to share just feedback on the biggest shitheads at Kapalua today. My wife and I had tickets behind the 8th green since they had some shade and shorter lines for alcohol. This guy in front of me from Oklahoma and now lives in California just bitched all morning until I had enough and decided to walk around. His main complaints: it’s expensive to build a house in Hawaii, diesel is expensive in California, Biden is doing nothing at the southern border (I live in Tucson, this is complete horseshit), the biggest problem with this country is people don’t want to work, etc. He was also a racist and the funniest part is he was trying to get Phil to sign his hat in THE MIDDLE OF HIS ROUND. The volunteers laughed at him and it wouldn’t have worked anyways, the players leave the 8th green that is the complete opposite of where he was sitting. It’s a brutal course to walk and I understand why guys take carts for the practice rounds. I also helped Lucas Herbert try to find his ball to the right of the 9th fairway in a bunch of tall grass and for my efforts, Billy Horschel’s caddy gave me two balls. All-in-all, a fun event and a course that has to be much harder when the wind is blowing.
You know you are a golf sicko when you recognize Billy Payne on the sideline of the National Championship
So frustrating listening to the goals trap draw podcast and hearing tron saying he’s a 2 and DJ want to be a 3 when they’re not good golfers. They just get to play so much more and score better. Makes me wish I had the time to play that much again
Have to think their sponsors make it worthwhile for them. Every second they are on that show wearing their gear probably means more money. To me this feels like PIP 2.0. Be popular, be interesting, make the producers want to put you on the show and get paid.
