This place doesn't as a whole isn't. Getting dramatic over finding one little thing I say that's incorrect or they disagree with and posting like children. About to send the-mainboard.eth to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD
Ideological underpinnings aside - bc the correlation to equity markets is pretty clear with the one difference being instead of making 25-50% gains in a frothy S&P, you can make 1000-10000% gains in crypto. There is interesting underlying tech, I think it’s in the clumsy foal stage, but the internet was just a bunch of landing pages and AOL chat rooms in the late 90’s. There are incredibly smart people flocking to this space, yes bc of the money, but if you’re essentially incubating the smartest/most creative minds with trillions of dollars, I’m betting the next big thing with staying power will evolve from this space. I think the fall of society narrative is played out/disingenuous. Monetary policy, financial regulations, deregulations, etc. affect people. We don’t have to be running around in animal skins for immutable, censorship resistant, decentralized stores of value to have a purpose. Regardless, at this point the Lindyness of BTC clearly outweighs any ideological narratives, imo. BTC hitting a ~5T market cap and being a six figure asset in the next decade is almost a forgone conclusion… and that’s a conservative estimate imo, I think it matches/overtakes gold’s mc eventually. So that’s why I talk about it, not to find a greater fool, but bc it’s Bama vs ND in the national championship and the line is comically off. It’s like +150 to happen and paying out +1000.
No I was making the joke that you have to manually add people to team boards… bc you seemingly hate it/are annoyed by it.
Yea ok. Keep trying to make fun of people. I'm ok little buddy but alluding to someone's mental health state is wrong. Want to discuss your prior issues or have them brought up?
I just read about The Currency and my understanding is that he used NFTs to sell physical pieces of art. The art isn’t digital.
You're still wrong with your understanding of what is actually happening. I can't resolve this issue for you.
Don't worry about what I'm doing. I'm stuck in the house because of a snowstorm. It's really easy to see the replies to this on a spare monitor. 20 pages of people like you being too concerned about a guy with 5k posts.
I just hit 5,000 yesterday lol this is pathetic.. he's been making fun of someone else's legal trouble in another thread today
oh you mean CharlieKelly who made a hitler alt acct and made a joke saying two guys that killed an innocent black man shouldn’t be punished harshly? Yeah how terrible
This is what you do with your spare time. And you're concerned with me spending too much time posting on here.
It's cute that you think about me and want to copy my NFT for engagement fucktx So is you trying so hard to bring someone down. It's hypocritical and also shows that maybe you are the one who is unwell.
Bro you literally tried to tell the whole board Jax Teller had all kinds of personal issues recently shut the fuck up
you're in denial and projecting and it's showing look at you losing it and bringing other ppl into your drama
What now? Edit - nm, p30 of that thread was a wild ride… fucking hell this board is filled with mentally unstable humans
To me the big disconnect of this thread is how Penguin The Duck defends the purchase of a $30k jpg by espousing the benefits of NFTs/blockchain. To make it even more simple, I believe that blockchain will have significant utility in the future, but that still doesn't mean I understand the value in the pete the cat drawing. Brands come and go and I just can't imagine guttercats having staying power as a desirable status symbol.
How have I defended my purchase? Answer: I haven't. I'm not selling it. I bought it and I may or may not use it for something. I don't feel like I need or should have to explain my purchase further. Wow, that's defensive.
I shouldn't have said defend. I'm just honestly curious what would lead you to deciding that purchase was worth it. I know you talked about using the IP and branding/marketing, but I'm curious what made you pick this one specific project amongst a vast sea of others.
People like to collect random shit. Really not more to it. People collect shoes, stamps, comic books, hell even VHS tapes are collectible now. There's enough people out there that want to own a digital photo so there's a market for it.
That purchase was minimal compared to the current value of all the other Gutter branded NFTs I have. I see the market trending up for the current floor price, and liked the rarity and property traits of this particular NFT so I bought it. There's not much more to it. I've studied the project and been part of it since nearly day 1. I believe in the co-founders, what others are doing with the IP behind the brand, and the current roadmap for 2022. And I really didn't drop $30k of my own cash. I sold an NFT and then used the ETH to buy the green cat. I've spent no more than $2-3k out of pocket for over $200k in Gutter NFTs. Some may not think the Gutter Cats or certain projects will last, but I do. That's part of the disconnect, among many others.
Penguin The Duck @nftbros after 11 minutes, I have completed this NFT. I call it Cum Farmer. I have minted 43 of them. Do you think a price point of 1316.2 ETH is appropriate?
Similar but the ability for the collective to choose which courses they would like included in the DAO is part of what makes it a DAO
user BrickTamland I made this NFT for you. Only one minted and it took 25 minutes. That will be .3 ETH, thank you.
Here's a take on NFTs that I really enjoy (mentioned it passing before): Short version, you buy a pack of randomized digital cards, you pick some of them as a fantasy football lineup. You mint it on the blockchain. It scores points and wins prizes.
I mean the idea of a fantasy football team marketplace where you can buy and sell teams is cool... but couldn't that be done on a random website? I get they are making each team an nft but it could easily be done on the draft kings app.
You keep asking the same thing over and over. No, the answer is no. It cannot be done on a random website. Draft Kings is building an NFT marketplace for this very reason. Because they need to be on the blockchain to accomplish what ohhaithur just posted
I had several packs to play OTM this year (most sucked) but it didn’t really work well IMO. They could have had a much easier to navigate marketplace.
Why can't it be done? Why couldn't DK sell packs and then allow you to put your team up for sale prior to games? The system is a great idea but it's not nft dependent. I mean we could do it on this board.
How do you link that back to the person's username who just made payment? It's manual or you need someone to write a script or integration.
