2 of 3 are “love” and “top 3” overall trilogy “terrible” explain I have no love for ep 7-9 personally
I know it’s been said time and again, but I don’t know how Disney didn’t sit down and put together an overarching plan for 7, 8 and 9 instead of the disjointed mess we got. The way they treated and approached arguably the biggest movie franchise on the planet has been ridiculous.
Handled as in the initial approach to it all, not necessarily the stories. They were rushing things and it bit them in the ass by the time they ran into trouble developing Ep9.
I honestly don't know how Kathleen Kennedy still has a job. If I was as bad at my job as she is at hers I would be fired.
Disclaimer: I don't think Kathleen Kennedy is bad at her job because she's a woman. That's moronic. I do, however, think she only has a reputation of being one of the biggest producers of the 80s and 90s because she was married to an actual great producer, Frank Marshall, and attached her name to his many projects (many of which were Spielberg-directed). Saying that out loud, however, gets you branded as a sexist, which is just as moronic as being an actual sexist. But there it is.
I would be saying the same thing if it was a man. They have mishandled the brand at every turn. The tv division is the only thing saving them from complete embarrassment. She's fired more directors than I can count. Half her projects have been in turmoil. She's just bad at her job.
She has hired a bunch of directors who are fresh off their first hit mid-tier budget movie. Then when their first big budget movie flops, they get fired from the star wars project. It's insane she still has a job.
As far as I know there isn't even a film currently in development. One of the biggest IP in the world and she has nothing in the works.
Apparently Rogue Squadron is back to being in development. But yeah. It's incredible how badly she has botched the film series while Filoni and Favreau have made incredible content via cartoon and TV series.
Of course it is. I was actually hoping it got canned. Not that interesting of a premise to me and Patty Jenkins has never made a good movie.
The books have been so, so good. Ive read them all. I havent read the short stories and I couldnt keep up w the comics. I try to read comics, but I just cant get into that form of media
Watching book of boba fett and I think I fell asleep. He’s captured and tied up by the raiders, tries to escape and they beat the shit out of him, then next thing I know he’s being trained by them and they destroy some train. What did I miss?
Going to be starting up the kids on watching. Any order to watch the movies/shows that is out there you guys would recommend?
original trilogy prequals ep 1 and 2 Clone Wars through S7:E8 Revenge of the Sith Clone Wars S7E9-12 (GOAT Star Wars "movie") Rebels Mandolorian new trilogy
How old are they? My 8 yr old has only ever liked watching Return of the Jedi, and Ep. 1 and 2. Well, and all the cartoons.
I'd go Modified Machete viewing order on the movies: R1, ANH, ESB, AotC, RotS, RotJ Then go back and watch the shows. Never watch the sequels or PM
I was going to try Clone Wars movie and then start on the series. Is it just particularly season 7 that’s a standout and the rest just meh?
