Correct... Michigan held all the leverage. Hadn't won a game vs OSU, coming off a terrible covid season, zero NFL interest and they signed him to a massive discount. It's payback time.
There's reasons to not want Harbaugh to coach your team. "Jim's personality/style/whatever you're implying doesn't work in the pros" after he went 44-19-1 (and 5-3 in the playoffs), or pretending his success with an org that was an embarrassment for years before and after he left just didn't happen shouldn't be one of them. At least if you don't want to be laughed at.
Kwesi is a big advance analytics guy and very young. That would be a very big step forward for this franchise.
He’s on the short list of good hires. Don’t like the fact he’ll just completely abandon the run though.
I'm happy changes are being made, with Pace we've shown what our ceiling is, but man the Kreutz story just shows how dysfunctional we are from the top down.
current list for each position Head Coach: Brian Flores Doug Pederson Dan Quinn Matt Eberflus Nathaniel Hackett Byron Leftwich Todd Bowles Brian Daboll Leslie Frazier General Manager: Ed Dodds Morocco Brown Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Glenn Cook Jeff Ireland Ran Carthon
My only issue with him is the fact that he hasn't been able to figure out the OC. Now if you told me he could land Brady like the tweet I posted above he would be my guy from this list. The issue you get into with that is Joe probably has higher ambitions and if successful will move on for a HC gig. So back to searching again. After thinking about it some I think going with a OC like Leftwich or Daboll is probably best. Those would be my top two guys
dolphins offense hasn’t been great but hasn’t been terrible. This with tua not being able to stay healthy.
Dolphins had 5 OCs and 4 OL coaches in three years under Flores. I don't want to have that happen with Fields.
And I saw a report out of Pitts that he’s pissed because they told him Hunt would get the GM job before him. Khan-Dodds-Smith all seem like home runs.
One thing I was thinking. Even if he sucks as a HC. If he comes here and develops Justin like Allen then flames out in 3 years it’d still be worth it.
We’re gonna hire Dan Quinn aren’t we? https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2022/01/17/bears-interviewing-dan-quinn-head-coach-job-this-week/ I hate this organization.
