I just saw this thread and clinked on the link in the op to check it out. Think this must’ve been beginners luck bc I didn’t even know what I was doing and used their example for my first guess. Drink was the first five letter word that came to me and was shocked when it lit up all green
super fortunate with today's, got it on my sixth/last attempt and it was a blind guess as i only had the 2nd, 4th, and 5th letters secured by then
Wordle 207 X/6 ⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜ ⬜ ⬜⬜ I’m a moron, ignored the yellow block on the first letter in my 5th guess when making my final guess. Probably shouldn’t do these at 5AM
Is there an app for this? I honestly wasn’t sure if it was going to remember my info and I wasn’t sure if it reset or not
I've been thinking about coming up with a lose-proof strategy. You have 5 guesses to gather information and one to actually guess. So you can figure out, with no effort, every letter in the word before the last guess. Maybe you get lucky on a few greens along the way. I'd need 5 words that don't repeat any letters.
I feel like its pretty close to lose proof. If you have every letter and can't put them in order this isn't the game for you. Its always possible you get a word with a common last 4 letters and just guess wrong on the first letter over and over again 6 times.
I tried your strategy. I think a lot of people are going to have trouble with a clue that doesn’t have an RSTLNE in it and this kinda solves that. Not sure I like it but it worked in this case - I definitely need to find better words for it to work.
Lets say you run 25 different letters and find out that the following four letters are in your word E R S T How do you solve that in one guess?
You would have no idea what the double letter was, and you’d only know one slot in which each letter was or wasn’t in
