RRS yucksters gonna have a field day here. "With his playcalling, he'll probably dial up a laxative instead of tylenol lmbo!" "He's got a fever, and the only prescription is a real quarterback! Ha!" "Maybe he'll end up in the ICU...the ICU can't win a game lol WOW"
Yay, the only good thing about frost staying is that I can spend another year chastising people in the “score prediction” thread for listing normal scores pertaining to our games Ohio State 56 Nebraska 14 No no no Ohio state 58 Nebraska 11
With Joe Judge getting fired we’re going to bring back Burton Burns so Mickey has a RB coach when he takes over in 2023
Would die laughing if Busch/Joseph got us a Top 20 class (where we belong every year, no excuses) and frost gets fired at the end
I don’t think anyone has a clue, but the in state kids look promising if we hire the right guy or somehow perform a miracle already 2 committed and Brahmer could be nice.
I'll wait until August when covid strain whateverthefuck forces Warren to rearrange the schedule and send us to Columbus rather than having a bye one week
Wish I could get access to this survey. Might tell my dad to forward it to me. Not sure we need the input from the same old foagies who’ve been vocal the past 20 years.
Redo South stadium to enclose it with a second deck or something but put chairs in the entire stadium to make it way more comfortable. Prob wouldn’t change capacity. And FFS figure out better ingress/egress in North Stadium
I don’t have any friends back home renewing their season tickets, save one and he’s a drooling MAGA idiot.
I’ve never had seats in the north stadium to know what that’s like but I’d imagine the new practice faculty on the north east side is going to make this problem worse. I’ve heard that chairs may be coming this off season as a way to reduce capacity without losing the sellout streak. A second deck on the south side would be great but if it comes at the ‘cost’ of adding capacity there is no chance it happens.
I've gotten free North Stadium tickets a ton of times. Never have paid for them but always end up getting asked to come along and man, it gets so unbelievably congested in the stadium. Way worse than any other part of the stadium.
Obviously this year was different since construction was in progress but it was the biggest disaster ever. You couldn’t walk outside around the North side so you either had to go through the stadium or loop all the way around the south (dealing with opponents equipment truck, plus gated off student section entrance, etc). By the end of the season my dad was even saying they need to figure this stuff out because the experience is miserable. And he’s typically one who blindly renews/donates just because what else is he going to do lol
I’ve posted it before but the problem is the games just aren’t even fun to attend anymore. Results obviously have a huge impact, but it’s just such a drawn out process to get to a game, get in and get out, the seats are uncomfortable, the in-game experience is just a million ads and music from 1982. When the 60+ crowd stops going I truly wonder what attendance will be on a consistent basis.
The games will be more fun when the olds stop going and they nut up and start serving beer. As of now it’s a dumb experience.
Yeah, alcohol will help. Personally I don’t even need THAT, it’d just be nice to feel like they’re trying to hype the crowd up and get things a bit more rowdy. It seemed like they tried to do it for Michigan and Iowa, but it should be every game. Stop playing the same AC/DC type songs they’ve played since the late 90s. The very first year of PBA, it almost felt like no one was paying attention so the game day ops crew could go rogue. They were playing modern music (aka rap), the crowd was chanting Husker Power during lineups, if Nebraska went on a run the place would go crazy at a timeout. I’m convinced Nebraska could take the lead against the #1 team and they’d either cut to the band playing Sweet Caroline or some Soybean advertisement. There’s nothing organic anymore.
Funny thing is I remember in the Bo era they tried to make that the post-3rd quarter song and it was kind of awkward/forced. Then it blew up during the Riley era.
1. Fire Frost 2. Hire literally anyone else 3. Probably win more games than Scott, shouldn’t be too hard 4. Profit.
I got the survey and it was heavy with questions about club style seating and venues. Getting into a $5,000/year situation does absolutely nothing for me. I know they’ve since renovated, but Washington’s end zone with alcohol was great when we played there last. Level South Stadium. Make it a tailgate in the stadium open to anyone who wants to pay $12 a beer. Get capacity near 70,000 with chair backs throughout. And win.
