The clerks who do the legwork are also handpicked out of the Federalist Society from a small group of elite law schools.
Jesus. Why is it so important for rogan to act like an expert on this? So embarrassing. You are a comedian and mma announcer you fuck
Didn’t mean suck. Just prerogative. My parents already raised kids. When they help, they help, when they leave the mess to me they leave the mess to me. Either way, I don’t blame them.
There was a giant robot cartoon I watched as a kid and the giant robot has an "omicron beam" I think of this every time I hear that word
I don’t think that’s how to interpret it. If they are vented they no longer count them in the icu category
Finally got the results from my PCR test I took at a stadium mass testing site on Monday. It came back negative. So I go back to work tomorrow… for a half day. it really doesn’t make any sense. Especially when people are like “o cool so you had something else!” And I’m like let’s connect the dots, a guy who shares my workspace (for the 6ish hours immediately before I get to work) got sick at the exact same time as me. He tested positive on Saturday(my rapid was negative on Saturday). I spoke to him and we had the exact same symptoms, for the same duration, and the same recovery trajectory so… -close contact -same symptoms -his tests came back positive twice but I magically got a Covid emulating “bug?” I don’t even know what I’m getting at here. It’s all just to point out how annoying and confusing all this is. Comes with the territory when the nation only is half willing to fight this, and all of our measures are being done on the fly. I’d love to take another test but rapids aren’t available around here, I could get a pcr and have another 4 day turn around on the results, or I could pay $300 to get rapid results from one of those pop-up for profit testing facilities. /rant
Omicron ain’t shit. Just ran 3mi. without any issues. I was getting stir crazy pent up in my bedroom and had to get out.
Then go volunteer at your local hospital icu. Do something useful like tell them it’s not shit so they get better.
I was in work meetings with hospitals all day today via Teams. I’m fully aware what they’re going through. Didn’t mean to get you worked up.
that wasn’t it. If that was it you could have just said “I personally didn’t find X too bad. I was able to go running”.
Jesus fucking Christ. I’m sure there would’ve been people who were offended by that, too, but that’s all I meant to say. Sorry if my tone wasn’t picked up in my post. I wasn’t trying to make light of the pandemic or those affected by it.
Then I probably wouldn’t come in here when many have had friends and family die from this and other variants and this exact cavalier attitude, joking or not, is what most of us deal with on a day to day basis and why we continue to be the worst country in the world at dealing with this. Glad you were able to get your run in though bub
some of us are currently dealing with loved ones fighting this shit. I really don’t need to fucking hear how “this ain’t shit”.
FWIW the response at this point is “sorry guys. I was being an apathetic dickhole fixated on myself. I understand my self centered narrative was unnecessary and, frankly, a humble brag about how lucky I have been to have not been inconvenienced by Covid let alone genuinely hurt. I will be donating convalescent plasma as a penance for being a complete asshole.”
Meanwhile my omicron experience has me sleeping damn near 16 hours a day. Every damn time I do something for 20 minutes I have to nap.
Hey fellas is this where I come to humblebrag about my 45 minute, 3 mile yog? New personal best - omicron ain’t shit!
So looks like my 6 month old nephew probably has Covid from being exposed by his daycare teacher. SIL says he’s pretty sick. Fever, congestion and coughing.
