I LOVE Local Three, easily my favorite restaurant in town. Anyone interested in meeting up for the 1/21 tasting?
That's what I've heard. Never seen them anywhere to try. Wouldn't mind trying those others either but 750 and up for a pour is a bit out of my price range.
Hope the legs on the table break and they all bust on the floor. Yes I am choosing violence but I don’t care.
Poured this tonight, it is interesting and I enjoy it. That said the tater wax was so thick I had to. It it with a knife, not a joke.
i went to go check out the friday morning allocations. Some old fat guy in his 50's was yelling at the cashier bc there was no shipment to my county the past two weeks. i picked up a bottle of Barrell private release on the shelf (this, DSX2) , which i guess isn't popular enough for people to yell about?
BCS has good products, they source their stuff so some is inherently better then others but it’ll likely be an enjoyable pour.
i assume "14 year old indiana whiskey" is a euphemism for MGP? and probably wasn't distilled by a 14 year old in Indiana
And their stuff that’s sourced from Tennessee is largely George Dickel. I don’t find it to be nearly as prominent in their blends/finished though.
Yea, that’s right. Their MGP products are much better imo, I don’t particularly care for Dickel products so I tend to avoid those when possible.
I just went to the liquor store and they had 3 bottles of Calumet 15 for 129. Should I have gotten one?
Had a similar thought. I remember grabbing a 10 or 12y Sam Houston in I believe 2020 for $110 and it was excellent. Fred Minnick put that SH15 on his top 10 this year for whatever that’s worth.
Happy #FinishedFriday I hate Armida even more now for making me gun shy on trying Seagrass. This stuff is fantastic.
