They need a spin off series halfway through the season of guys trying the keep their card. Would be very interesting since the broadcasts don’t seem to be interested in covering it.
Has anyone ever framed a pin flag? I have one I bought at the PGA at Kiawah last year and looking to finally do something with it. Is Hobby Lobby/Michaels the play? I haven't gotten a quote from a local frame place, but I know they can get expensive quick.
Both passive aggressive and patronizing. Just say you support it but would rather focus solely on your game and be done with it. I guess we want athletes to be open and honest...love him or hate him Bryson is that, more than most I suppose.
Let’s be real Most don’t like him and he is an odd guy, it’s not good for his “brand” to have more exposure than absolutely necessary. That’s why he isn’t participating.
Anybody ever sent a putter in to the Scotty Cameron custom shop? Considering doing so in the near future and curious about the process
The Champions Tour should not exist. PGA should have like 4 or 5 events for the old fucks. Then have the USGA, PGA America, British, hell do one in Asia for the cash grab, and that is plenty.
I figure it's subsidized by the regular tour, it takes airtime from more interesting golf in the Korn Ferry Tour.
Na recognized it and picked up his pace of play considerably. He’s a good dude. Between Michael Thompson’s lumberjack beard and Haotong Li’s Harry Potter glasses this has been some fun evening viewing.
Henley taking 3w off the tee on 18 in the final round, up 1 with Hideki in the middle of the fairway…was fucking pathetic. I can’t think of a more chickenshit move with the tournament on the line. I am actually mad about it, and it bet on HIDEKI!
It was insane. Just sitting in my living room thinking about trying that shot in that circumstance and I know I'm only gonna have one of 2 outcomes. 1) catch it heavy and it goes approx. 125 yds. 2) if by some miracle I do catch it clean, I would slice it over the gallery.
I have to imagine it’s paid for by corporate sponsors and the events far more easily than the Korn Ferry. A pro am spot with [insert named pro] just out there for fun is worth way more to your 50 year old client who has followed that guy for 30 years than some 23 year old trying to grind it out. It’s also a lot easier to sell tickets and boxes to the same event.
I'll link this article but it's the minimum endorsement I can give it. Could've been so much better and interesting with just a story or two. https://www.golfdigest.com/story/un...DM24489&uuid=002577e5f4f448399af07cc37addbcc0
Buddy runs a large weekly club that travels around and plays at different local tracks (usually 40 guys every week). He's been trying to get me to join but Sunday golf is rare for me and I told him it seemed like a lot of sandbagging. The big money is in skins and guys just go for every hero shot and don't give a shit about making big numbers. Yesterday, the winner was a "six" handicap who shot 67. How often do you think a legit six gets in at 5 under? Like almost never, right?
That seems a bit much. Like I alluded to, it's blah and boring but what part(s) make you feel cringy?
I fluctuate between a 4 and 6 and I've never broke 70 on an actual legit course so yes, I would say never unless the course rating from the tees they were playing was insanely low.
Played in my first scramble in over 2 years. Was fun to be in one again. Wind was crazy. One of the strongest winds I’ve ever played in. We came in 5th and didn’t cheat.
