Is it a sandwich or not made me think of these ridiculous sausage, egg, and cheese I made one Sunday when the only bread I had in the house was brioche hot dog buns and I didn’t want to waste them.
Felt very this morning so just steered into it. Low rent hotdog bun, scrambled eggs, hot link, jalapeños, bacon, American cheese. Not great to look at but hit the spot.
BLT with a runny egg today. Just an awesome sandwich. Wife incorrectly wanted hers without an egg and with cheese so I’m not sure it counts.
How do you guys typically prepare your bacon? I either fry in the skillet or bake on a sheet lined with parchment paper, oven frying it. I like how it comes out. Never fails that a haze and the bacon smell lingers longer than I’d like, even with fans and windows open.
So I started doing a basic sausage egg cheese and sliced jalapeño on an egg muffin sandwich in the mornings. Not sure if anyone has used these but they work pretty well. Have to get the pan heated up and pour the egg in slow or they will leak a bit. Also covering the pan with a couple drops of water to steam the eggs helps a ton as well. Emoly Silicone Egg Ring, Egg Rings Non Stick, Egg Cooking Rings, Perfect Fried Egg Mold or Pancake Rings (New,4pcs), Multicolor (make sure ad blocker is turned off) Now I am going to be considering adding some other toppings like some pulled pork or shaved brisket.
Unnecessary use of “so” to start your post. I know it’s extremely pedantic of me to point it out but it’s huge pet peeve. If I can get one person to remove this bad habit, it’s worth it.
I know this thread is for sandwiches.. But I'm posting this shit anyway. My favorite brunch spot has lobster grits. They are the best thing I've ever eaten. Chopped up lobster in this coastal butter sauce over smoked gouda grits. I ate it 3 times this week.
So you make a good point. Going to be working on that in 2022… Also here are some pics of the breakfast assembly this morning.
Scrambled eggs, cheddar, and bacon in a couple of small corn tortillas then grilled the tacos on each side in a little bacon grease. It ain’t much but it hit the spot for lunch.
The best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had were at Mike and Patty's in Boston. I make sure to stop by every time i'm there. Life changing.
This brought me back to life after Gunners and blind dog kept me up too late. homemade Mexican chorizo on that bad boy.
Something similar to this (I didn’t use cloves because I didn’t have any) but I buy the pork already ground and I spoon in a little bit of red enchilada sauce I make. Happened to make enchiladas last night so it was convenient. https://www.seriouseats.com/easy-fresh-mexican-chorizo
Did BEC with white cheddar and Frank’s on an Aldi croissant buns. Not the best croissant, but super easy and round they’re uniformly round and thick.
well hello thread i just discovered sausage, egg and cheese (monterey jack) bagel salsa verde not pictured cause the wife spoons some into every bite
