I bought a cute scale instead of the Wyze scale like I initially planned. Might still get one idk.

According to our very reliable government:

    For the information you entered:

    Height: 5 feet, 8 inches

    Weight: 174 pounds

Your BMI is 26.5, indicating your weight is in the Overweight category for adults of your height.

For your height, a healthy weight range would be from 122 to 164 pounds.

5’11” fwiw. Generally just trying to get healthier and back on a more normal exercise and eating regimen. I bought most of my suits/clothes when I was 155-160, so just trying to get a little more comfortable.

I have to buy all my long sleeve shirts custom made. I have unopened shirts from when I weighed 200 and 225. It’d be nice to get back into the 225ers, but let’s be honest…

Wish this contest would've started at the beginning of the year. I usually eat healthy, and in December worked more to replace food on my plates with veggies to improve portion control. Didn't drop a lb but held steady. Cut out alcohol this month and started to finally shed weight without going to the gym. When I weigh in tonight I'll probably be 10lbs down from where I started. Sad thing is before covid I had lost ~30lbs and had some great habits. Of course that went out the window.

    Week 0 (01/17/22) -- 211.0

Hoping to get down to 170 by summer. The diet plan is intermittent fasting (no calories after dinner or before lunch) plus sensible carb intake. Omicron fears are fucking with my exercise goals. I plan to do a lot of walking with increasing amounts of running as my legs can handle it. Band workouts instead of weights until I feel it's safe enough to get back to a gym.

220 is my average weight over last 15ish years. I let myself go over holidays and just rode it out til championship game. I feel can get to 220 easily but have only gotten below 210 twice in last 5 years. Haven't seen 199 in 15+ years so that's the goal and I'm going to fucking do it this time.

    You guys can do this!

    Feb 2020, I was 264 lbs.
    July 2020 l, I was 180 lbs.

Maintained between 180-185 the past 1.5 years. Back on the grind now trying to cut to 175 while consuming 170-200g of protein a day.

Happy to be anybody's accountability buddy! Just stay disciplined, eat healthy, drink plenty of water and workout for 30-45 min a day 5-6x a week! Cheering you all on!

Quite honestly…I don’t give a fuck about how much I weigh. As long as I’m healthy (which I was last physical) and my wife wants to suck my dick (lol), what I look like isn’t that important to me. These biggest loser comps are fun because a) it’s part of our TMB community, b) it provides a touch of accountability, and 3) there are people that actually want the support.

I know what I need to do to lose weight, but that sacrifice becomes less important the older you get (as long as your health is maintained). I paid $25 to talk shit and lose 6lbs.

    May the biggest cheater win!

Trying to hit 220 this year so right at a 100lb loss in a year

It’s doable but the biggest challenge is trying to do it while lifting heavy and trying to eat 1800-2000 calories that include 220+ g of protein a day.

    Shit is tricky.

I’ll give everyone a short run down of my history.

44 years old, have always fought with weight. Ballooned up to 230 lbs years ago and started running and eating a vegetarian diet. Got all the way down to 182 in 2019, leveled off around 195-205 and then the pandemic hit. Now I’m back to 230ish

I've always battled with my weight. I was the fat kid all the way through sophomore year at college, when I started having back problems and weighed close to what I do now., which scared me enough to drop all the way down to about 180 doing keto. Stayed that weight for a bit, ballooned back up to about 235, then dropped back to 205 doing a more sustainable regimen of portion control, and powerlifting training. I looked and felt way better at this weight doing this than 180 doing keto.

Long story short, I meet my wife, gained happy weight, did a "bulk" that spiraled out of control, hurt my back, and stopped consistently powerlifting, while still eating like I was. Last year, my dad lost his leg to diabetes, and that has scared me straight again. I'm less concerned about being "jacked" and more concerned about being healthy for my future children.

I have a full home gym with a power cage and deadlift platform in my garage, so I'll probably use that for the majority of my exercise, but I'm going to work more cardio in that I usually do, along with what worked for me in the past. Portion Control, Intermittent fasting, and higher volume weightlifting with supersets. I've done this twice before, I'm pretty positive I can do it again. It's all about follow through with the diet for me.
