Its honestly faster to just download than transfer if you have decent internet. Plus download can be done in the background. Transferring ties up your console. And a 5 TB nvme drive would probably be close to 1k.
Yeah I know I guess I'm just saying for a console to really be fully digital and hold a library ... What size would be decently sufficient. I am not actually considering dropping that much on it. Ha
The 1tb I posted along with the storage the console already has I have like 15 games installed and still have space. So quite enough for me.
really looking forward to watching that run, I can't even imagine how difficult that is. One of my favorite speedruns ever is Punch Out blindfolded, that must be like just sitting and breathing compared to doing Sekiro that way.
I vote for Sinking City, for no other reason than I'm interested in it and want to hear your thoughts on it. Heard gameplay is just okay but the investigation aspects are fun
I've been on a tear lately with games. Just this month I've finished Greedfall, Alan Wake Remastered, and now about halfway I'd say with Death Stranding. I was running into issues finishing games the past few years because I've got too much completionist in me. The past few months I've been still doing side quests and collecting things, but not obsessively. I only 100% a rare few games so no need to push myself away with expectations to do that with every game. Greedfall- it was okay. Solid world and interesting side quests. Combat was just okay, a little clunky at times. Went the magic route, and wish they'd have added a few more spells. The few they had were really cool. Alan Wake- Not sure how I missed this on its original release. Obviously really outdated controls, and it feels so clunky. That's about the only negative I can think of, though. Everything in the world is so incredibly detailed. Anybody that liked that part about it should check out Guardians of the Galaxy. Random suggestion, I know, but the level of detail in that game is on par with AW. Death Stranding: Director's Cut: I'm really enjoying this one. If you have a big enough screen, Quality mode with Ultrawide turned on makes it look insanely good while still giving you 60fps. When I tried to play the original release, I hit a wall and stopped playing. Back then, I was focusing on building up everything and doing all missions that popped up before moving on. It was taking way too long to feel progress.
Wonder what that means for their games on Sony or Nintendo going forward. With such a big acquisition, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep releasing them on other consoles so they don't miss out on massive sales. This is a bigger beast than Bethesda, imo (10x bigger, to be exact). They could still just say fuck you to Sony and Nintendo, but I'd be surprised.
I think they stay multi platform but just drop day and date on game pass, this is a move to overshadow and squash Sonys attempted reboot of PS+ to have a more game pass style service imo.
My uneducated bet is they release games on all consoles but subscription based gaming (such as game pass) is exclusive to Microsoft. So imagine Call of Duty gets a full retail release but it only goes to Xbox Game Pass and is blocked from going on the new Sony one.
Maybe this will make Sony get off their ass and bring us a big time fps. Killzone, Mag, Resistance, Socom. Something
These giant acquisitions are not good for gaming in the long run. Luckily for me I'm not impacted since Activision doesn't make a single game I want to play. But I don't like this at all.
I just don’t think Microsoft is gonna spend 70 billion not to make CoD Xbox/PC exclusive at some point
Don’t think they want to alienate all the additional micro transactions they would get from PlayStation crowd
I mean, I think they use this to make PlayStation owners either buy Xbox or build a PC (and they will if it means unlocking guns on warzone). This is meant to be a backbreaker imo
Doesn’t activision own Blizzard too? So StarCraft, Word of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, etc also all will be Microsoft now
I definitely think they will do that as a backbreaker if it's financially feasible. I think the difference now for a lot of gamers in this digital age is being so entrenched in their ecosystem. I'd have a tough time leaving behind all of my library, and I know plenty others would, too. With Activision bringing in yearly under $8 billion, including playstation, you'd assume that number would drop a decent percentage if they went exclusive. Would Microsoft be willing to drop that revenue opportunity as a big fuck you to Sony? Maybe, but that $70 billion price tag might make them think twice. It would take 15+ years to recoup their costs of the purchase, but honestly they might not care.
PS users got exclusive access to Destiny content before Xbox; I imagine that’s how this will work for COD and such.
You also have to think about how rare an Elder Scrolls is. Once every decade at this point vs every year.
Hoping to finish up Death Stranding this week, and I'd say it is up there in my top games of last gen list. Such a weird concept for a game and easy to mess up, but Kojima found a way to make it fun. The weight based movements and really tight driving controls really elevate it to greatness, in my opinion. Realized how responsive the driving was when I was delivering a car with explosives in it and had to go up a mountain while avoiding the endless amounts of rocks on the ground. Was able to go through certain areas with about an inch of space to spare on either side without feeling like I was fighting controls.
Still delayed from Walmart with no update. Anyone else run into this problem when they ordered or was my new PS5 on one of those hijacked trains?
Happened to me. They take orders over what they have in stock. They told me if they accepted your order you’ll get one but may take two weeks to ship.
Are people still having trouble getting PS5's? We have a couple Target Opticals and they asked my wife if she was trying to get one because they had a bunch. She sent me this pic.
They’re still so rare that you can sell this picture as an NFT for at least $500 (I know next to nil about NFTs, but I tried)
Can I sell an NFT of just my actual PS5? So someone can own it on the blockchain but it stays in my house and only I can use it. Isn't this how that scam works?
I think my favorite metaphor is something like if your wife is the town prostitute and fucks everyone, but you have the marriage certificate
The Astro Bot game that came on the console is really good. The newest Ratchet and Clank would probably be a good pick too.
Ahh I don't know about many local co-op games anymore. Couldn't tell you on that. Kind of a dying genre.
It Takes Two is amazing. If you're ok with gross-out humor, Castle Crashers is excellent. Rayman Legends is great too. Both Guacamelee games are amazing, can be difficult but so great. Stikbold is a fun little PSN game too. Pretty much any LEGO game is worth playing, both LEGO Harry Potter games and LEGO Marvel Superheroes are the best of the bunch. Worms WMD is also a personal favorite.
