right? That’s either going to be really hilarious or really stupid. But seeing some of the cast they have lined up I’m pretty hopeful
That German guy calling Nims out for propaganda was pretty funny. Yea, he's a very positive guy, but the reason he didn't die is mostly luck. Not like he controls avalanches with his good vibes.
Has good reviews on Metacritic as well... https://www.metacritic.com/tv/archi...a6j8GImBEB_QADV7tq9-v5zfDNfXBCTOJThTxuPnH0_rA
Started off ok.. got lame and boring during episode 2 for me. Think I made it through 4 episodes. Not sure if I’ll finish
Every now and then I put The King on almost as background noise while I'm doing something else because I find the atmosphere soothing, and every single time I inevitably get sucked in completely abandoning what I was doing to give the movie my full attention so damn good
yes, it’s great. But Apple TV shows worth watching mythic quest Ted lasso See is pretty good Foundation is ok if that’s up your alley For all mankind is awesome
Yes it’s great. There’s threads on the tv board for Apple TV series. “See” is amazing as well. There’s 2 Tom Hanks movies that are good.
Starting 14 Peaks right now. Watched Free Solo and The Alpinist earlier in the week so may as well keep the theme alive.
Thru the first 2 of the new Ozark episodes and this show is so fucking good. I already know I'm going to be so mad when I get to the end and have to wait forever again for the last episodes to drop.
Aren't they doing a season 4 part 1 and a season 4 part 2? Heard part 2 will come in September or October
They did a really good job with the whole Jerry situation. I figured they would just ignore it, but they devoted an entire episode to it, gave the victims a platform and turned into a good show on the sexual predators within the sport.
Foundation is good, really enjoyed it. Forgot I had watched a few episodes of it at an air bnb over Christmas and finished it during my quarantine.
Binged “The Puppet Master” last night. It was awesome. It’s basically the British documentary version of the Dear John podcast, but I think this conman is worse. Really well done as well.
Netflix stock lost like 20% of its value the other day because they're projecting far fewer new subscribers over the next few months than originally anticipated People finally catching on that they just mass produce tons of shit and the quality stuff becoming rarer and rarer
It’s also a bullshit metric the companies use to manipulate the markets. They shoot insanely high to get people excited and then they project way too low like you see above. They crush those numbers, then shoot for the moon and the old cycle has ended and we run it back.
Probably for another thread but I lost my job because of shit like this. Pisses me off that it happens this way and impacts innocent people, so I tend to pay attention to it more than some. But yeah hoping to get in an episode of Ozarks tonight.
Comment wasn’t directed at you fwiw. Just me, a person who watches a couple hours of Netflix a week, reacting to doom and gloom posts about it. It’s worth 10 bucks or whatever a month to me. Some people are quick to try and dance on its grave and I’m like yeah, I don’t give a shit. If you like another service better subscribe to it
Same. And "mass producing tons of shit" is objective. One person's shit is another person's favorite series or movie. For what they charge, they really only need to show me one, new good show/movie per month. Going to the theater and buying a ticket and drink and there's your cost of Netflix for a month. Throw in a new series or season of a series or documentary I like and that's even better.
Good point. Lotta people like books I wouldn't have any interest in reading. But not everyone is into fine literature and that's okay
So which service do the cinephiles subscribe to, and how much is it per month. I thought they were all downloading torrance to their seedboxes
I have no idea. I like Hulu because they have Ricky and Morty, It's Always Sunny and KOTH. That's by far the best value for me. Netflix doesn't have anything I'd wanna watch over and over
Hopefully you’re paying for the ad free. We have the cheap Hulu with the commercials and 90 second commercial breaks is enough to make me almost never want to watch something on there
