He was going to be our Friday night guy. Was injured in the Florida series last year and didn’t pitch the rest of the year. The family wanted to try rehab and avoid TJS. He had a great fall, but just had another setback. He was the #13 MLB prospect and #1 college pitcher. Fortunately we have a ton of elite arms behind him, but none with his experience. This probably moves Noland to our Friday night starter, Wiggins to Saturday, and Hagen Smith to Sunday. Nick Griffin is another to keep an eye on. Smith is going to be incredible here.
I was watching episodes of the locked on podcast earlier and the guy asked, outside of Saban or maybe Kirby, is there anyone you would trade Pittman for right now. Honestly, I wouldn’t trade him for anyone. Considering how we’ve talked for years about how hard it was to recruit or get star athletes on the Hill, Pittman and his staff is putting in the work and showing it can be done and then taking the talent he has and coaching them up. we’ve seen plenty of wasted talent in the past, I don’t really feel that way about the current staff. Can they get better? Sure. But you can look at them as constantly improving over the first two years despite setbacks due to injuries and such. it’s freaking January and I’m ready for the fall again. It’s been a very long time since I could say that as a Hog fan in his 40s
We about to have some nice recruiting momentum this weekend for ‘23 it sounds like. Couple of these visitors sound like they’re gonna pop
Another kid out of Georgia. Is this bc of relationships Jimmy Smith has? This guy has been incredible on the recruiting trail if so.
Same HS that Smith coached at before Pitt hired him. Big time program that puts out a lot of very good players.
I had a lot of questions about who Smith was when we hired him, but damn if he hasn’t answered every one of them. Coming into 2021, the question mark was who would be our primary running backs outside of Treylon and we ended up with a stacked backfield and it’s one of our strengths going into 2022. Really impressed by what Smith has been doing and his presence on social media is fantastic.
DE Landon Jackson LB Bumper Pool LB Drew Sanders CB Dwight McGlothern S Jalen Catalon S Myles Slusher DB Latavious Brini Our defense is fucking loaded for once and idk how hard I can possibly get without having a heart attack Need to find an impact DT in the spring like we did last year with Ridgeway

Saw an article this morning talking about its time to bring Ed O back to Arkansas as our new DL coach. I initially laughed as we have one deplorable on staff already. But he’s a hell of a recruiter.
Seeing the recent success was a significant part of what I was looking forward to when Pittman was hired. Unfortunately due to Covid; he’s been handicapped for a year. Looks like it’s finally starting to get moving.
All I know is our DB play was fantastic last year and even if he was hard on the players, I am not sure I am celebrating him heading to Ole Miss. Apparently the rumors that Foucha and Brooks left bc of Carter were not true as they said, it was a business decision.
There was a twitter space discussion tonight where a bunch of current and former players, Chase Lowery’s dad and Chase, Foucha jumped on and talked. Foucha didn’t talk bad about Carter, but Lowery’s dad said he was going to transfer and so were 4 others before it became clear he wasn’t coming back. Didn’t name names on the four others. Carter even jumped on to listen for a minute

This cracked me up Razorback Foundation opens office in Jonesboro Spoiler The Razorback Foundation has opened a new office in Jonesboro. Anna Kay Hilburn, associate director of development, will lead the efforts in Jonesboro. “There are Razorback fans in all four corners of our great state. We are excited to now have Anna Kay in Jonesboro to better serve our fans and members,” said Scott Varady, executive director of the Razorback Foundation. “Since joining the Razorback Foundation, Anna Kay has proven to be tenacious, hardworking and a true leader. With her relationships throughout Northeast Arkansas, southeast Missouri and the Delta, she made the perfect fit to help serve our members in this important region,” he added. Hilburn, a University of Arkansas graduate, joined the Razorback Foundation in May of 2018 prior to her role as a marketing associate in the Arkansas Athletics Department. “With the tremendous success of Razorback Athletics and as a result of some of long-time team members’ retirement, we are excited to welcome new team members who will be an integral part of providing superior service to our nearly 10,000 Razorback Foundation members,” Varady said. “We are proud that all four of our new teammates are graduates of the University of Arkansas and are true Hog fans through and through. They came onboard just in time for our 2022 Annual Fund launch,” he said.
You basically can't run a successful defense in the SEC without at least one stud player on the DL, especially when you only use a three-man front. It's a miracle we stopped anybody last year.
