Wheaton is apparently very bizarre. The rumor from the beginning of the season was he didn't talk to a single soul on the team. He was friends with one trainer and didn't talk to a single person in the locker room
It's not really a rumor, that's why his recruiting was so quiet the entire time... kid is just a quiet kid
There's quiet and there is deafening silence which you can hear your own blood coursing through your body. Apparently Wheaton was the latter
sad bit of news but VT picked up a transfer recently from a thousand yard receiver from Temple named Jadan Blue. his dad was shot and killed today in Baltimore and what's worse, the kid was on the phone with his dad when it happened.
Been rumored for awhile but he’s in school. No one knows and I hate to lose him but he is what he is. I wish we got him more opportunities but I don’t blame him for not wanting to play with Stetson.
He’s taken UGA stuff of social media and put it back. Posted stuff about how he’s confused. Would suck losing a TE with his size, hands and blocking ability. But don’t really blame him with his lack of targets. But we can withstand it with Bowers and what we just signed and have for next year.
Guessing Kirby convinced him to see how the spring goes and decide after. Even if he stays, we’ll probably have to sweat this one until September.
Pretty sure he played sparingly as a TrFr. I think the staff would want him to stay. I think Gus'sast class, that signed in December, might be nearly all gone
why play school and take classes when you dont have to? rather evaluate how the coaching staffs shake out after NFL season + post-spring depth charts; if youre in a position to obviously, some arent talented enough and have to take the first spot they can find.
most probably just stay enrolled at their current institution or do online classes wherever home is I dont think Caleb Williams is enrolled. Could see others doing that. Go hike the Appalachian Trail, backpack Europe, sail the seven seas, etc.
There's no reason he shouldn't be. Classes started Monday b/c they are on Quarters. Figured he went there b/c it was the only school he could still enroll in. Ole Miss too b/c they have that weird January Mini Term. 99% of schools it is too late besides those two
School just started at Wisconsin Tuesday: https://secfac.wisc.edu/academic-calendar/ So they're still in a drop/add period. I think a lot of northern schools start back end of January. I looked up Wisc for example
They prob have ways for athletes to work around things, but no he doesn't according to this: Spring Semester 2022 73 instructional days Open Registration Thu-Fri January 6-7 Classes Begin Mon January 10 Martin Luther King’s Birthday Mon January 17 President’s Day Mon February 21 Spring Recess Sun-Sun March 13-20 Classes End Fri April 29 Study Days Sat-Tue April 30-May 3 Exams Wed-Wed May 4-11 Commencement Fri May 13 https://academics.usc.edu/calendar/
deadlines were pushed back due to COVID. Classes started virtually and moved to in person this week. The 28th is the last day to add.
