Yeah clips. And the idiotic things my patients cite. What an absurd idea you're ham-fistedly putting forth that one needs to waste hours of their life absorbing inane content to have a sound conclusion that the comedian and former host of fear factor is dangerously out of his element discussing covid. Enjoy your piss
Just short clips you've watched? What other opinions of Rogans do you disagree with outside of Covid? Would you say most of the patients you treat or help are not very bright people?
You have to listen to the entire 4 hours before you can criticize him passing off vaccine disinformation
Joe Rogan is far from being intelligent. He’s a dumb person that says things that dumb people agree with. He’s not bad when talking to other comedians or musicians and whatnot but when he starts trying to science with people it’s clear that he made D’s in all of his science classes and has no idea what he’s taking about outside of what his assistant can google
Someone claiming to be an “expert” could go on Joe Rogan’s show and explain to him that eating dog shit is actually a miracle source of protein and antibiotics and by the end of the show have him eat a piece of dog shit and in future episodes swear that eating dog shit has made his life so much better. “I’ve never had so much energy and strength in my life thanks to eating dog shit!”
I never said Rogan is intelligent, I just asked pnk if he thought the patients he takes care of on the average are not bright people.
I don't give a flying fuck about bullshit like ayahuasca. I care a little about his cringey, charlatan supplement BS, but aside from it being dumb, gross and unscientific, it's mostly harmless. But what more do I need than the covid stuff? I now know many people who aren't vaccinated, citing shit they heard on Rogan. And that's just in my practice. Doesn't take a huge imagination to see there's definitely a good number of dead bodies piled up because of misinformation they heard from JRE. So tell me, what irrelevant BS about eating elk dick am I missing that totally counterbalances the harm of his covid misinformation?
“You see, by eating dog poop it actually enhances our predatory instincts that have been lost due to all the processed food we eat now. It gets us back in touch with our predatory wolf instincts.” “Uh huh, yeah man I totally see that. I’ve been on hunting trips with my bow and I’ve heard the wolves howl and it’s like it hits me deep in my soul. I can totally see how eating dog poop helps to unleash that inner power.”
I know the question wasn't directed at me, but there are way too many stupid people in this world, and I have endless stories of covidians and their family. just yesterday admitted a patient whose husband is a total non-believer... after our conversation he goes "should i get tested? i don't want to put her at risk if i'm positive" bro, you should get the fuck out of the room, get an n-95 on, and did you not hear me explain to you for the past 15 minutes she has covid, hypoxic, likely going to die, and you're worried you may harm her if YOU have covid? we had to make him leave to go get tested smarter people tend to also not show up in the hospital as much... which makes sense. take your meds. see your physicians. better access to healthcare if you've got some wealth/insurance as to rogan, i've always hated him, always thought he was not entertaining and frankly stupid, and never understood the appeal. even before the controversy I judged people for listening to his bullshit.
Gonna go out on a lmb and say that if you go to your doctor, and challenge something your doctor says with a phrase that starts with "Joe Rogan said", you're a dumb person.
If you're dumb it's ok that you get fed disinformation that leads to your death. Is that the argument we're going with here?
Yeah I don't think I understand the reason for that question, or why it applies. It's not about smart/dumb. A lot of the Roganofiles I see are well educated professionals. And I wouldn't say that, in a universal sense, they'd be the sort that I think would be so easily duped. You don't have to be stupid to be misinformed.
Remember when he had a trained professional explaining that young men are more likely to myocarditis from Covid than the vaccine but he disagreed and argued against even when shown the studies that proved him wrong. Then instead of admitting he was wrong he questioned the source and continued to believe he was right even in the face of scientific evidence.
I get that ethical consumption is a bitch, but it’s actually quite easy to avoid Joe Rogan and there is no reason he should have the platform he has given his use of that platform to kill people
Lol, Joe Rogan isn’t some deep thinker. I see enough clips of him being a total dumbass to get he is a dumbass. I never met Hitler or listened to him in person but the news reels and stories I saw help me formulate an opinion. Lol at thinking Rogan is deep or nuanced enough that YouTube clips don’t tell the story.
If you haven't listened to all 13000 hours of Rogan content and watched every episode of The Man Show, you're in no position to criticize him for platforming fascists
If you had the bad luck of being born stupid you deserve to have Spotify spoon feed you information that leads to your death
I think the argument is that the objectionable content is really only a small part of the total discourse and so any criticisms need to be made in the context of all the words that he says that don’t kill people, some of which are quite funny and/or intellectually stimulating in his very open minded and naturally curious opinion but I’m just guessing since he won’t state his argument
I have consumed every piece of content Joe has produced including his grocery lists and dream journals. I'm here to tell you why it's fine that he spreads COVID misinformation
i developed my opinion of rogan as not being a deep, critical thinker when he was the loser wacky host of nbc’s fear factor
He used to not be as bad. I used to listen to him when he’d have good guests on. He’s gotten worse and worse as he’s become a self absorbed know it all. He honestly believes he knows more about everything than the guest he has on. In his mind he’s on the same level as Neil Degrase Tyson because he’s talked to him and understood what he was saying so now they’re equals
I was just curious to pnk's opinion of his own patients. If he felt like the people spewing Joe Rogan bs were overall just idiots or are the patients he respected and thought of as smart are also spewing rogan bs.
No, and as it’s been brought up before, why would I? I think he’s a fucking moron that is personally responsible for people dying brocade he plays some high intellectual and stupid people fall for his stupidity. He adds nothing I regard as worth my time, so what is it that I am missing by not listening to a full episode of lies and misinformation? Get to the fucking point.
Nah, Hitler was up front about saying stuff that led to people dying. And as it was pointed out, Hitler never had a podcast.
For all of Rogan’s stupidity, at least he states his opinion. The beating around the bush with your position in a written medium is exhausting.
The you have to listen to all his content to have an opinion is the same argument people use with Jordan Peterson Not a coincidence deflection
some of his standup is funny. Like many right wingers he’s often like one critical step away from getting it. He sucks at grilling his guests when they present stupid or disingenuous shit. His mind is so open his brain sometimes falls out. He seems to mean well enough but his inability to sort out a coherent challenge to his more repulsive guests makes him at best complicit.
