Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is absolutely great, kid friendly and probably the first true "next gen" game that really shows off the PS5 hardware.
I keep telling myself these numbers are inflated because of covid . Monster hunter is one of those games I randomly pick up every year, but am still probably 100's of hours from completely finishing. The gameplay loop just doesn't get old. Returnal was 60 or 70 something hours, so I assume that was 6.
Spoke too soon. FedEx just called and said the package has “gone missing” in the timeframe from the warehouse to the truck i.e. someone stole it. GameStop shipping another one and should be here in 7-10 days. the wait continues
Giving the Uncharted PS5 a go. The 60fps makes quite the difference in gameplay in my opinion. A lot more responsive and fluid. Visuals definitely look sharper as well. Tried the true 4k 30fps mode and the slightly better picture isn't worth the trade-off in frames.
Looking forward to trying out Lost Legacy when I get a chance. Missed it the first time around. Once I finish the Frozen Wilds DLC, I think I'm going to try and run through as much of the dying light story as I can before Friday. Wanted to play it earlier, but held off when they said in October that the PS5 patch was coming. Kind of wish they didn't even announce it was coming if it was coming after DL2 release.
I always enjoyed Chloe as a character so it will cool to see some more of her story. I hope one day ND revisits Uncharted.
i'm surprised i had any stats at all tbh, but my people's destiny migration happened a couple months in. probably started buying games only on pc or switch mid 2020. a roommate loves gta online so i reluctantly play sometimes, but that is mostly idle time. go buingie
People will think this was in retaliation to the Activision deal but this has probably been in the works for quite a while.
Not quite sure because Bungie was partnered with Microsoft for that time. Bungie hasn’t made a halo game since Reach in 2010.
I think people are just seeing this and thinking Destiny. That's obviously a huge deal and a bargaining chip in the preventing exclusivity war, but this is huge news for Sony. To go from basically having no power in the shooter market (completely fumbled socom, killzone, MAG and Resistance IP) to arguably having the most talented shooter developer is a massive deal. I fully expect one or more of those to be revived in the near future, either by Bungie or with heavy influence from them.
They might assist on one but they are pretty tied up for the foreseeable future between Destiny and Matter. I'd rather see them do something new than revive any of those anyway. Killzone 2 was good but the rest sucked.
Yes, but it oddly seems like the war will not be about exclusivity. Seems like it's shaping up to be more about what's available on the subscription services for "free."
they're definitely going to be sharing Bungie's knowledge with their other first party developers. Say what you will about Destiny and the way that game operates overall, but the gameplay and feel is still near the top of the genre. That plus whatever other IP's Bungie will now develop were probably all Sony needed to pay the price.
Wouldn't be surprised if at least one of those IP's get a full reboot, but yeah im ready to see something new. For the near future, I bet Bungie does more assistance than actually taking on new projects for now. Still a huge positive for any existing studios within the PS umbrella.
I'd be willing to dropkick at least 17 toddlers if it meant I got a Naughty Dog or Guerrilla FPS with Bungie assisting on the gameplay mechanics
Hear me out: Bungie buys supergiant and tasks them with making a metroidvania rougue like using destiny heroes/powers/loot
Sony and Bungie have had a really strong relationship dating back to the launch of Destiny, id tend to agree with you.
I've long said sony should buy supergiant so i'd love to see this, i know nothing about destiny but i would learn it for this game
Just turned on dying light two, the first was such an underrated and talked about game, hoping this is just as fun
I’ve read reviews saying it’s great and then some comparing it to cyberpunk’s release. So which is it? I’m counting on you
