This has to be somewhere close to #75-80 for Balas (not hyperbole), who at this point has reported literally every possible outcome to every possible scenario at least 3 times.
Shannon terry ordered his boys to go all in on getting dem $1/yr subscriptions https://www.on3.com/teams/michigan-...gan-coaching-names-should-jim-harbaugh-leave/
Dude who previously was given a heap of shit about performance bounces at first opportunity for an upgrade? No way!
Don't you fucking dare. I called this correctly the last two times - Ole Miss will open the wallet for whatever it takes to keep Lane. I will sell at least 5 of MLS's chairs and return her watch to keep this franchise going.
So for real, who this gonna be? Got a quality roster to work with, great institutional support, awkward fans…..omg it’s Jimbo.
Gattis, Fickell, Campbell, Rhule that’s gotta pretty much be the list I’d think- I don’t buy Mike Hart as realistic
He definitely made Michigan an infinitely more attractive destination than it was before he took over.
External candidates that I think have to be mentioned as possibilities... Bill O'Brien Matt Rhule Matt Campbell Dave Aranda Jeff Hafley Luke Fickell Harold Goodwin Larry Foote Internal candidates, depending on who you want to listen to... Mike Hart Josh Gattis Realistically, I don't see Aranda or Fickell being interested, and I don't see Foote as a candidate (I haven't heard his name anywhere, I just threw it in on my own). I'd be really surprised if they landed on Hafley, Goodwin or Campbell for different reasons. Thus, I think it ends up being one of O'Brien, Rhule, Hart or Gattis.
I like Rhule a lot as a college coach, Gattis’s resume is stellar just don’t hire BOB secretly I hope this ends with Gattis gone from Michigan so ND has a higher chance than zero with Dante Moore
No one is really out there to drop the bag on. The combination of the February time line plus the number of coaches who already took different jobs leads to not very many options. I think the potential pool of candidates depends a lot on how much of the current staff is going to stick around, and how much the AD wants it to. I think guys like Aranda and Campbell are unlikely because they would want to bring most of their staff along with them. I don't think it would be the same with O'Brien or someone like Hafley (who I would love for them to consider, but I don't think has done enough for the AD to go that route).
The Transfer King taking the Michigan job and then finding out a week into things that his new school can't take almost any transfers would be a fun time.
That is what MSU thought and then proceeded to drop the bag for Tucker, albeit not as crazy as a coaching cycle.
