They dropped a bag for someone with 1 year as a HC and a 5-7 record. When someone says "dropping the bag" for someone, I take that to mean someone who is already an established coach rather than someone like Hafley (who would be in the Tucker category).
I could be way off here but I think it's more likely BOB takes the Pats OC job as a way back to being an NFL HC. I don't think he's a college guy long term.
Maybe. I have no clue. I would think the Michigan job is different than most other CFB jobs for someone like him, though. I don't want to root for that asshole, anyway, so I'm fine if he goes back to the league.
Given how the last coaching carousel went you really can’t count out the random established coach that comes out of left field. Like Mike Gundy or something.
Herbstreit threw Tenuta under the bus hard in some interviews this year about his ill-fated 2007 report.
Class act to bail on all those kids he convinced to align their future with right before signing day. I suppose it isn’t as dirty leaving immediately following signing day so I take it back. What a classy gesture.
They really don't have anyone signing on this one....but he's been assuring the ones that are already signed that he's staying as recently as last weekend.
mixed on that According to Deon Johnson, Will’s father who played at Michigan in the early 1990s, Harbaugh was forthcoming and answered Will Johnson’s questions. “He told William he was definitely looking, and if an opportunity came up, he was probably going to take it,” Deon Johnson told The Detroit News on Tuesday. “(Harbaugh) told him he felt the team was gonna be good, they’re gonna win a lot of ballgames, they’re gonna do a lot of good things. But he wants to chase a Super Bowl. That’s one of the things on his list is to be a Super Bowl-winning coach.”
This feels like a leverage pull from his agent to the best deal possible. But then again who knows? Trying to get in the mind of Jim Harbaugh is a fools errand.
He doesn’t have an agent but yeah agree. Especially the part about trying to figure out what harbaugh is going to do at any given moment
also feels like a tweet to cover Minnesota's ass given that they spent all day today interviewing the Giants DC (who is black) and this report came out right as that one was wrapping up
Also, just to repeat, the only person I've seen reporting that Jim already has an offer and treating it like a sure thing is a Michigan writer who has been wrong 50 different times during this process but keeps firing away with this stuff. He's the same person who reported for more than a week that an extension was done and that Jim got everything he asked for and doesn't care about money. He's since pivoted to "Michigan low balled Jim and isn't showing him enough love". He said multiple times Rhule isn't a candidate, and in the last 24 hours has said he's now very much in play. He said if Jim leaves UM will replace him with Gattis, but now Gattis is out and it's Hart. Now he thinks it's an outside hire. TLDR: Chris Balas is a moron and no one should take his word for anything.
probably Michigan staff telling him not to go to state because Tucker was leaving. At least that’s what Hotmic wants it to be. And probably is. But maybe not.
Look, I'm a Vikings fan in my 40s. I haven't seen my team in a Superbowl in my lifetime. The only thing giving me any hope right now is that the Bengals are playing in one in a couple weeks.
