i feel like if you parse that by sports takes vs political takes it'd be wildly different Lebatard when talking about real subjects is incredibly nuaned, but with sports often is a classic shit poster
could bounce strauss even further right too whitlock and portnoy should be bounced down pretty dramatically too
Cowherd's "backwards hat can't win a super bowl" take was neither nuanced, nor regurgitated from twitter talking points. It was both original and asinine.
So how the balls does one rank an original yet meatheaded statement on this chart? “Colin Kaepernick looks like a terrorist” is certainly original.
That's why I think they should be separate axes. Unfortunately, though, I think that one is probably not that original for pre-Gettr twitter.
Lebatard is nuanced about sports. He just hosts a radio show with Stugotz, which means he either joins in on the radio fun or comes off as the straight man on the show. Lebatard the writer was different from the radio show character he plays when it comes to sports.
I think it’s long been deleted but one of the best tweets I’ve seen on the subject is “Matthew Stafford came here to wear backwards hats and get his receivers killed and he’s all out of backwards hats”
The more I think about the logistics of creating such a slide, the more ridiculous it becomes. Like, how many articles/radio shows/podcasts/appearances on Tucker Carlson did the author review?
Mina Kimes, you could make an argument, is the best in the business. She’s incredibly smart and has the ability to write a great article, flow naturally to tv, & yet can be thrown in with lighthearted stuff like being owned by Papi without it feeling contrived. She’s incredibly well versed and studies whatever field she wants to tackle. It’s why she’s as good as anybody studying the game of football. She doesn’t pretend to have played the game. She uses the things at her disposal, analytics and hard work to come up with opinions one can respect even if they disagree with.
Clicked on his Twitter feed for the first time in months. 45 seconds of scrolling and I was angry. Upset. Furious even? He’s good at riling me up. I hate him.
Pretty sure he did. He claimed Nike was going to free fall because they aligned themselves with Kaepernick.
A few years ago, the Ohio State website Eleven Warriors did a weekly column where they bet against every one of Travis's college football picks each weekend. Reminder of the Process That Was: No analysis was involved as we were just making the opposite picks of Clay Travis. None of this actually reflected our gambling thoughts, opinions, or insight. We stuck with $10 for each line. Please note that the lines did move throughout the week. Ohio State was never included on our end. FINAL TALLY: Initial Funds: $500 Previous Week: +$25.49 (!) Overall Profit: +$69.88 (!!) Ending Funds: $569.88 https://www-elevenwarriors-com.cdn....of-fading-clay-travis-and-his-cant-miss-picks
In the replies, you have Clay’s followers calling him boy and wondering if he has two parents. Anyhoo, I don’t think he’s been with the football team for nearly a year.
