That’s definitely happening as well. I’ll squat Monday and Wednesday and just throw in tempo and pause work to make sure the tissue gets reacclimated to loading
choked on ohp 235. 225 was so easy i tried using the same dumb logic i used to pull 635. just go for it. followed up by 4x3 185 and 135 3x10. just pure anger.
back was feeling wonky all day and this week is my heaviest week of this block, but for some reason once i get warmed up and start making a few reps of squats it doesn’t give me any trouble. i didn’t have any instability or get that pump feeling when i have mis-grooved a few reps. next week is deload so i need to work on my stretching and some nice solid reps.
Late New Years resolution; eat enough calories and nutrients on the weekend. Alcohol doesn’t bother me from a workout perspective but don’t feel like eating till dinner on Saturday and Sunday(will drink protein shakes but that does nothing) and just zaps all my energy Needed to force feed the last 2 days to have a good day today and it ended very good. Last back squat max was 405 Had 3x2 at 85% and 6x1 at 90% yesterday and it all moved like butter...took a 5 count pause at the bottom of my last 3 Can't wait to test again Ever since trying to target 270-300g of protein a day my legs feel tremendous

i am going to have to start counting calories. i figured cutting my IPA intake in half and less snacking would drop some weight, but i crossed over the 200lb mark. still have abs, but they’re closer to eddie hall’s abs and not thor’s abs. Spoiler still have abs tho

It's not 100%, but better than it used to be. Training has been ok, not great. Between the hurricane and the hospital going nuts, I've had more "quick" days in the gym then I would like, not to mention sleep has been shitty. Both things are getting better, which is good timing for the meet next month. Not necessarily looking to hit massive PRs this time around. If I can match previous PRs at a lower weight class with all this other stuff going on, I'll be satisfied. Plus it's a new weight class to lock up more state records...

His 2nd warmup is like 90% of my max. Also says he doesn't stretch, just put 265 on the bar then jump to 485 and keep going up reds
It’s literally how he does it. Walks on the treadmill for 10 min then just gets to it. One time I was pulling and got to around ~550 and he goes “can I work in? I don’t wanna warm up” and pulled his first rep with 550
I go 225 then 315 then I throw on 25's and 45s to the desired weight. Choked on 655. Just wanted to see what I had. Not the best day walking in. But I got the first try off the ground.
1/3 on bench for 308 got called for ass coming up on opener, retook, yolo attempt for third at 353. Turns out not training bench for 2 months doesn’t help!
2/3 on deads 590 628 dropped it 628 smoked it for a 6lb PR. Probably would’ve been good for 633-638ish today. Overall 6/9 600 squat 308 bench 628 deadlift even with Bench ~40lbs under my best I only totaled 2.5kgs off my best total. Get this bench where it needs to be and I’m pushing 1700+ next year in Miami
Good stuff, man. Sucks about the bench, but we all know you just did it so I wouldn’t be too embarrassed by how much you have widened your lead on squat and deadlift.
