Could you explain who the last neutral guy that we threw out was? I ask because the last guy that I'm aware of (and I don't claim to know all of Ukrainian history so I could be wrong) was tossed out was due to his corruption and bending the knee to Russia, actually had nothing to do with NATO. In fact, the people of Ukraine tossed him out because everyone wanted to join the EU, or at least the financial side of the EU (there are different levels of membership) and the country did everything to do so. Then, a few days or weeks before putting pen to paper he was called to Moscow and came back and said nope, no EU for us. His massive mansion outside of Kyiv (showcasing his corruption) is actually a neat (and sad) museum these days.
I fully expect Don, Junior, and Erik to be in Moscow this weekend. Probably right when the Smerch rockets start landing on Ukrainian positions
Different levels of membership? If you join the EU you are a member of the single market and customs union, are under the political structures of the commission, and all new entries are required to adopt the Euro. There aren't different levels of membership. You can get access to the single market via EEA membership (Norway model) and Turkey has been allowed to join the customs union by itself, but those are outside of membership.
I thought you could opt out of certain aspects. When we were in Croatia a few years ago they were in the EU but kept their own currency, for example although that may have been a timing issue
Not really. The UK and Denmark had some opt outs that they negotiated during the 1990s during the Maastricht negotiations, but it's a one size fits all for new members. You are obligated as a new member to adopt the Euro. There's a transition period, but Croatia has to adopt the euro, and I think intends on adopting it in the next year or two.
Russians have also started jamming gps signals in northern Israel again, which is fucking up civilian planes landing in Tel Aviv.
Israel is a terrible ally. On more than one occasion they've passed on tech we've given them, to China
yeah, they suck. I mean, shit, they built nukes with apartheid South Africa in the 70s and 80s too. I can understand why they wouldn't want their top of the line missile interception system in a place where it can be captured by the Russians in 4 fucking hours though.
seems reasonable to start from the POV of a country being used as a pawn between a super power and neighboring regional power is never going to be clean. corruption is still what's keeping them out of the EU, but now with a lot more weapons from your tax dollars i have to fight the urge to look at things like cumshot compilations due to being educated and living in America. spend weeks in school learning about battles after a day or two of glossing over the whitewashed causes and conditions that lead to said war. Why didn't nato pursue a neutral position going back decades prior? why should we support the expansion of a group organized primarily around exploiting the global south in the EU?
All y’all that were throwing this guy likes 24 hours ago, come get your man. He’s struggling to not Google cumpilation at work and needs your assistance.
WTF. I googled Ukrainian cumshot compilation on my work computer looking for a history of NATO expansion and imperialist motives and just got an email to come see the managing partner. Thanks a lot blotter.
NATO is not some sovereign that goes around annexing nations. It's a voluntary alliance made by member states signing a treaty. Any sovereign nation has a right to enter a treaty without interference from other nations with which it has no treaty. I too can be a cynic when it comes to treaties, but we both know NATO isn't "organized primarily" for the purpose you describe .
I haven't laughed as hard from anything on this board in a LONG time as I did from cumshot compilations. Lmao. Not since the last time someone fell for "meatspin.com" in the Coronavirus thread
