D. You’re still early game, but a lot of the aesthetic touches (nice buildings, lights, Brahmin feed troughs, etc.) add to settlement happiness, which increases settlement productivity. E. Just remember that all those weapons are heavy.
I’m still a beginner but prob the best advice I had from Tug was pick up everything for the first 10-20 levels (junk/weapons/apparel), store all junk at home base in sanctuary, sell the weapons and apparel at dumlin diner and trashcan. Also kill everything bugs raiders etc. Also go with a companion to gain their perk. one thing I didn’t know until I was level 30 lol was you can cook stuff for XP so don’t sell meat only sell weapons and apparel
Just realized this about 4 hours ago. Also in classic Bethesda game fashion, I’m doing literally every other mission until I go to Diamond City to the main quest line I assume. As is tradition.
When did you guys go back for more points in SPECIAL? I’m at 39 and finally running out of what I think are major perks to take.
Finished main storyline. I supported the Institute/Watchmen. What a fun game. Great world, loves the map and crafting, love the skill tree. what a shitty ass story though. I could not have given a shit less about any other character in the game. Thought high charisma + charisma apparel made it easy to just auto win every speech thing.
Exactly! Didn’t give a shit about any faction. They made the game shades of grey and it just made the story boring, not compelling
I might be in the minority but story line in a game is important but not critical to the enjoyment of the actual gameplay which is what I value the most. I could play FO4 for years (been 3 months already) and find new stuff to do which is one of the reasons why i love the game.
Yep. Still loved the game but the story was a complete meh. even with the institute, your actions didn’t really matter. Like you give a speech and I was trying to play benevolent, non-aggressive and next scene was like “alright time to murder the railroad and the BOS!”
I never finished because I couldn't overcome my total indifference towards the three main factions. It's fun for the most part, but the story was a huge disappointment considering how awesome the setup was
What’s everybody’s favorite DLC and why? I just started nuka world and the first quest is awesome. Haven’t checked out far harbor much yet.
I’ll give it a try. But given that everything in this franchise has slowly gotten worse, expectations are low. Cannot believe this got an adaptation before bioshock
The upcoming Fallout TV series at Amazon has announced its first bit of casting, setting up Walton Goggins in a lead role. According to Variety, Goggins will have a lead role in the upcoming Fallout TV series based on the popular video game franchise. While details remain under wraps, sources say Goggins will play a character “based on the ghouls from the games.” Ghouls are humans who have been exposed to radiation as a result of the nuclear war that forces characters underground into nuclear-safe Vaults. Sometimes villainous, sometimes tragic allies, but it’s notable the first major casting is for a non-Vault dweller character. While there’s still no main plot revealed for the upcoming Fallout series, hopefully, more details will be revealed as casting continues. Goggins has appeared in a variety of shows and movies across genres, whether that’s as the sometimes-villain Boyd Crowder in Justified or recently as the misbehavin’ Baby Billy Freeman in The Righteous Gemstones. Goggins is also a new collaborator with Quentin Tarantino appearing in both Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.
Over time, I realize how close FO4 really was to being amazing. - Remove the “missing child” aspect from the storyline. You can still have Kellogg killing your wife, maybe even make her pregnant, and it turns out later on that the Institute used the fetus or DNA to clone Shaun. Creates a more complex and ambiguous feeling around working with or around him, and it removes the forced sense of urgency to find him. - Give you more executive power in determining the course and direction of Minutemen development. Say you can invest some scrap elements or books into different training trees for new recruits (whether to be more hi-tech, focus more on armor, better sniping skills, etc.) and how they interact with other factions. - Allow for autonomous development of settlements based on the skills and traits of incoming settlers. Have some settlers who are excellent farmers, some who are great defenders, some who are great scrappers, etc. If you have too many in one settlement, you can move them somewhere else to maximize their output. When at their settlement, they’ll add new farm plots, buildings, tech centers, etc., without you having to micromanage everything. - Weapon degradation should have stayed in, but have the rate and starting value vary based on SPECIAL/perks. - The return of dialogue options based on SPECIAL/perk sets. Keep them hidden until the threshold is met to boost replayability and prevent save scumming. - The voiced acting is fine, but use some pitch modulation to create a variety of potential voices, or if you really wanted to go all out, use multiple VAs per protagonist.
76 was awful and you should feel bad if you feel otherwise. 4 was a huge letdown as well. They haven’t nailed it since NV
Idk anything about 76 so I’ll definitely defer to you on that. Was playing ESO heavily at that point and didn’t have time for another MMO. I loved 3,4 and NV. Now 4 is even better with all the mods out there. There is even a giant mod for NV now that essentially makes it a whole new game.
I would have settled for any of the factions making me give even the slightest shit about them. That was the biggest failing of 4. I wasn’t invested in anything. They tried to make everything a shade of gray but instead they just made me not care
While true, I’ve never been tempted to play anything but the Minutemen; it always felt like the canon choice and the one that provides the best future for the Commonwealth, but it feels lacking for the reasons listed.
Tough act to follow with New Vegas having some of the most interesting factions in any western RPG during that time imo
A lot going on there in episode 1. Some of the cuts were awkward. But enjoyed it. Looking forward to the watching the rest.
Made it through 4 episodes. Good, but not great so far. . Really only issue I have so far is too much long music sequences. I get what they are doing, but some long drawn out scenes with just music over it for too long too often in episodes.
Hello. have all the fallout games available due to XB game sharing. Never played any of them. If you had to pick a Top 2 which ones would they be
