Fuck, I got super excited when I saw the Daft Punk email from Spotify. Not what I was hoping for. To mark the 20th anniversary of Daft Punk’s Discovery — released March 12th, 2001 — Spotify has created an “enhanced playlist” of the recently disbanded dance duo’s second album with archival footage, anecdotes, and more. Accessible via Spotify’s Canvas and Storylines functions, the Discovery – Enhanced Playlist features never-before-seen original concept art and storyboards from Interstella 5555, Discovery’s animated companion film, as well as short clips from the movie to accompany each song.
https://t.co/sQyn40UDTX Daft Punk's official account got restarted today, currently running a live stream of a 1997 concert.
It’s to promote a 25th anniversary deluxe edition of Homework https://consequence.net/2022/02/daft-punk-1997-homework-mayan-stream/
I have buddies going to Ultra and they are secretly hoping Daft Punk will make a surprise appearance.
I can’t imagine that it happens. I was hoping they would pop in for the Super Bowl halftime show last year and that didn’t happen. Would have made an assload of sense too.
https://pitchfork.com/news/daft-pun...ccess-memories-reissue-with-unreleased-music/ Today (February 22), Daft Punk have announced the 10th-anniversary edition of their final album, Random Access Memories. It’s due out May 12 via Columbia and it includes nine tracks and 35 minutes of unreleased music. It will be available in 3xLP, 2xCD, streaming, and downloadable formats. A spatial audio (Atmos) mix of the original album will also be made available for the first time. Check out the tracklist below.
That part of Give Life Back to Music is my favorite part of the whole album damn excited to hear the unreleased tracks
I loved hearing the tracks in their mid stage. It’s clear they were going in a slightly different direction before Nile Rodgers got involved.
Just one more tour please. Honestly they could just get others to don the masks (like MF Doom) with a state of art light show.
Prime slaps. seems so unlikely https://edm.com/news/thomas-bangalter-opens-up-daft-punk-split-interview
"As much as I love this character, the last thing I would want to be, in the world we live in, in 2023, is a robot," Bangalter added. so it’s chatgpt’s fault. I knew it!
who is putting out these different RAM versions? were they already in the bank or something? So confused that I keep getting their 'new' content after they've retired from daft punk
