Was the tweet saying Russian banks got hacked and users info released fake news? I can’t find it anywhere on the webs
My pleasure. I lived there in the late 90s. My good friend was the 2nd female Finnish pilot at their air force academy at that time. My other close buddy told of his experience going across the border then with his father to see where his grandfather grew up before the Soviets annexed the land. They have lived with the Russian menace and managed it adroitly now for 80 years. They won’t join NATO and provoke the bear unnecessarily (despite erroneous reports from former US generals pontificating in their basements on CNN), nor do they really need to.
Complete a corporate takeover. Change the companies mission to investing in sustainable energy and profits are donated to charities in Russia that support gay rights.
they need bombers and drones not fighters honestly but I guess this might help US probably committed to delivering Poland's F35's faster
Tried watching the cable news from the hotel last night for the first time since this all began. When you get used to getting your news at the speed of Twitter it's incredible how far behind the news was and they were just repeating the same thing. Best analogy was when your us d to listening to podcasts/books at 2.5x speed and you get in someone's car who's playing regular.
Me too. At first I was thinking this could backfire like when the French returned German POWs in the Armistice, but requiring mothers to come see the situation in Kyiv first hand and creating goodwill with the POWs, who likely have no desire to join back with the Army, seems like a smart strategy, especially if Ukraine doesn't have the manpower to keep POWs.
The fact that these Russian soldiers are conscripts makes me think they may not have a choice once returned. Either rejoin or be hung as a deserter. That being said… not sure how easily Russia can track down these fellas after being initially captured as long as they can stay off the grid.
It's crazy to me that for a lot of people there they just get up and work. The trains need drivers, people need food, things need to be delivered. It's hard to wrap my head around the logistics of a country that is being bombed.
Taiwan is an island, if they're needing to rely on anti tank weapons, they've already lost. Also China ain't gonna try shit after what just happened.
My boss just came out of his office and walked up to mine and said, " Why doesn't Ukraine just stop fighting Russia, they're going to get everything destroyed". I'm shaking mad right now. All I said is, " I'm not sure where you get your news"
They are, compared to what they should be for the cost, but they’re still leagues above almost any other country’s fights except for some of the very latest generation aircraft that haven’t hardly been mass produced yet.
Ukrainians are wild also, feel like getting into an enemy tank and firing it is a good way to get vaporized
To add on, my understanding is that it’s still probably the most advanced aircraft with both air to air, and air to ground capabilities. Was never meant to replace the F22 in terms of being the superior air to air fighter because it’s not, but the air to ground capabilities make it an all around capable aircraft with elite stealth capabilities.
its the best on the planet. There’s a reason why everyone wants them. It’s definitely had its issues, and was supposed to be cheap Swiss Army knife but has turned into a bottomless money pit i think it’s still cheaper than the new euro fighter
Nobody is going to believe what exactly? That Ukraine would have retained enough skills to matter? They are not going to have flying superiority on anyone, but once they get side control, or mount it is over.
we can go argue this in another thread, but “it sucks ass” maybe at dog fighting, but it wasn’t made for that
