Spoilered image of me arriving to my reserve weeks in a command that has nothing to do with Europe, and finding out everyone now works for Europe. Spoiler
I already obliterated the f35 in the f35 thread 7 years ago. And guess what, the f35 still isnt fully operational despite it being a decade behind schedule 7 years ago
I think the doomsday people talking about how this is "over" if/when certain cities fall seem to be not understanding that this will be in no way over. The Russians cannot possibly muster the forces to adequately occupy this country. It would take millions of troops.
the comment section is full of well thought out civil arguments and it’s inspiring. I’ve never seen so many “that’s a good point” and “that’s a fair point” and “this is totally valid” and “we are on the same side here” comments before
sure. It failed at being a cheap Swiss Army knife that could replace the a-10, f-16, harrier, and to an extent the f-22, but it is still the most advanced jet made and in operation
Ukraine is roughly 85% the physical size of Texas and has 5 million more people than California. That should prevent any sane person from trying to occupy. But sane is the key word.
France's intransigence is what set the stage for Weimar's fall. To their credit, some in England, Churchill included, tried to head it off.
Ukrainians seem content to let the Russians extend themselves then pick off supply lines from the rear. Doesn’t seem like there have been many counter attacks at all Russians in the south seem to be getting heavily stretched now, if the Ukrainians have any ability to counter attack I think we see it shortly. They can cut those Russians off and surround them in theory
Take your little argument to the f-35 thread or whatever one you guys get boners over which fighter jet is the best.
If you're going into a negotiation, you don't let off the gas - you accelerate for maximum leverage. US wanted peace, then used two nukes.
My fear is that the Russians will not try to occupy Ukrainian cities, so much as try to level them one by one.
Russians acknowledged ~2000 casualties with ~500 KIA. I’d imagine it’s in between there and what the Ukrainians say
