House hunting is aggravating when I'm trying to figure out a garage gym. There's always some variable that's throwing everything off for me.
It was basically the one non-negotiable I had with my wife. We ended up getting a house that only has a carport (no actual garage for the vehicles) but a closed in breezeway for my gym.
Im struggling. I want everyone to happy but i need this done right so i can smash weights and not have to tip toe around. Minimum half the garage. No exceptions. And the only reason id only take 1 spot is because the driveway situation space wise. Otherwise im taking both. But again getting the right setup is frustrating.
Arnold’s tomorrow. Love the events and was set up perfectly for Mateusz then got injured in his last training session. Guy has no luck. Max squat with single ply(they never do this), a 300 pound DB for reps, max log, timber carry, then stone to shoulder.
hensleya i was looking for a meet and the one that works best is in Rock Hill end of a July. TMB can go win 2 of the weight classes. Get ready.
275 DB press for 7 is absolutely insane, really hope Novikov wins. Love Licis but got a kinda generous 3rd on dumbbell which saved a few points and it was from Odd Haugen, I don't think there's any conspiracy or favortism(it was close) but don't think a guy's coach should be a judge. Kearney in first place, hope he hangs on for top 3.
Something gave out on JF doing a 420# log, he collapsed and then it fell on him They’ve cut action already for over 15 minutes, fuck
1 strongman account said they heard from someone there he tore/ broke both patella tendons. Same injury Ken Cooper had Would make sense, they didn’t want to move him and literally walked the platform out the arena I assume to an ambulance
a 140lb lady lifted the dinnie stones. lmao awesome https://www.instagram.com/reel/CavU3r4Dd9R/?utm_medium=copy_link
Mono benching is a game changer. Makes the hand off so much easier and takes pressure off the shoulders. If you’re not training for competition, I’d highly recommend.
Watch him deadlift 1000 again next year, he’s built different No idea how insurance works in instances like this, saw he had a 50,000 gofundme.
kinda figured but i just assumed there was a reason Sorinex went in that direction. im anti social. i dont compete. never will. i do it for the ig fans. i dont even like asking the one person i ask to spot me on the shite benches they have at lifetime. so i basically try to unrack 350 squirming around and hope i dont lose positioning and get off center on their narrow ass anti grip cushions.
Never understood people that use caffeine powder. Especially not having it clearly labeled. Never want to confuse it with pre-workout.
First meet in new weight class tomorrow. Hoping to match previous fat(ter) boy meet PRs (and set new weight class state records...for old guys).
Not a meet day cut. Was thinking of dropping a weight class anyway, but when USAPL broke off and went to a 100kg class, I was able to settle in nicely over the past 6 months.
Just an update. I was willing to go $35k over asking price but someone was willing to go $110k over. They must've really wanted a sweet ass home gym more than me. Fucking NY housing market is absurd.
finally back to 4 plates on deadlifts. had 6 reps of 405 on my last set. youtube has a cut up of just the lifts from arnold that is a little more than an hour, so im watching now. trey mitchell’s circus dumbbell attempt was crazy, the second try he sorta caught 275 with his face. i dont see how he didnt drop it. bobby thompson is really good at static stuff.
Weaker and much more casual than most of you, but really committed to my protein and calorie count since the start of the year. Down to 185 and close to benching my body weight. Squatting 200, and just hit a 1RM of 270 on Deadlift.
Great job on being consistent and working. We all started somewhere. I vividly remember failing 135 on bench
