That says deaths. I could be wrong but the other numbers people have shared are casualties which includes deaths and injuries.
They don’t have an X in the Cyrillic alphabet and their K is the only letter that gives the hard C/K sound so it’s usually spelled Aleksander or a variation of that. Sounds like your client went for the Americanized spelling when he came here so it’s the same thing, really. In Russia he’s still Алек/Алекс. They don’t have a J either so shit gets weird when they try to formulate that sound, ie John/Jon becomes Джон
https://time.com/6155670/foreign-fi...gn=editorial&utm_term=world_&linkId=155355325 pretty good article here as to the mentality of Lithuanian's and others similiar- gives you a good understanding as to why Estonia and Poland are so active in arming Ukraine. These ppl are terrified they are next
Page 250, off to a great start. The League, Power Rangers, and the Wire in the first 10 posts. What were the odds of that?
Not that the Republican Party is responsible or anything, and will continue to be fuck all idiots with the price of gas, but this is actually good messaging!
good messaging but we know by now that the republicans will call it something bad and the democrats will lay down and accept whatever the republicans come up with
I read or listened to something last week that discussed how Russia's rail network is 2nd to none. They can mobilize and move resources throughout their country in an instant. The issue is they cant do shit outside their borders. Their trucks are old, obsolete and they dont have nearly enough. All that passes the eye test considering how poor logistics for them have been inside of Ukraine.
With McDonald’s closing, the best version is off the table, so they might as well shut down distribution to the rest of the country.
Everyone has the same name I find this shocking coming from the culture that places zero value on human life.
“low confidence” is interesting and in the comments is an apparent whistleblower doc that says 10k is likely
Nice, my conversations with Bo Pelinis and watching TikTok’s of him deep throating corn on the cob were getting stale
Inverse Tom Friedman theory? “Low confidence” is a term of art, basically reflecting that most of what’s going on is difficult to verify. The much larger Ukrainian numbers should be treated with skepticism though, given that every country always inflates their battlefield successes for both innocuous and propaganda purposes. I think we killed everyone in North Vietnam twice.
just a seasonal reminder that those supporting Brexit were supporting the same aims as Vladimir Putin
Yeah everything I’ve been seeing from us has been labeled low confidence because we’re all just trying to interpret the Ukrainian government numbers.
This is just some self congratulatory performative bullshit, your fucking "knighthood" means as much as a gold star from your 1st grade teacher, send them more money, humanitarian aid and equipment instead.
