I say they just leave the planes on the Poland/Ukraine border and let the farmers pick 'em up. Easy peasy.
like seriously… what is russia gonna do if the planes fly out of a NATO country? they don’t even have the numbers to advance through ukraine
So Poland got annoyed we were pressuring them on the world stage and publicly made a counter we weren’t expecting? Then we got scared and shut down the whole thing?
Would love a "breaking news out of Poland that dozens of fighters have been stolen" and video feeds mysterious missing, Epstein style. I'm sure all the world's elite would understand.
pretty much. imagine a message board poster got into a tiff with another and it turned out they were the same person. it’s the same thing here because both countries are NATO countries
well if they can’t react with conventional force they either have to eat the west’s shit and pretend to like it or counterattack with unconventional force
I mean, historically going this route hasn’t exactly worked out for us. She has a point, although I do disagree with her.
sure giving weaponry can be bad but can someone explain the alternatives? what happens if we don’t give ukraine weapons? what happens if we didn’t give taliban weaponry? I’m asking srsly btw
I don’t think there is a clear answer but Ilhan is correct in saying we should avoid giving out weapons willy nilly.
I guess you’re right, Orwell actually served there in a military capacity (and got shot in the throat!) Hemingway went to Spain too, but as a war correspondent.
yeah can't imagine why someone who fled Somalia would have concerns about a flood of small arms going to non-state actors
I wonder if Putin will go all “Soldier of Fortune” and reach out to The Oath Keepers and Three Percenters to use as canon fodder because his base of babushkas are starting to turn on him for getting their grandchildren killed.
Spoiler RIP her Mother RIP Russian Lt. Ivan Alexandrovich Levankov Video in 2 parts Hero woman showing Dead LT and her Mother then Rus Soldier she saved in Interrogation explaining in detail what happened For more context added womans Instagram Post after Video Translation Thanks to https://www.reddit.com/user/lexuswaits for Translation. TRANSLATION BELOW: This appears to be the final compilation of an event already referenced in posts before. This video however also includes the account of the civilian which was never posted until now as far as I know. TRANSLATION: Keep in mind that she is under shock and her speech is disjointed Female civilian: "On the 24.2 at 10/11 o'clock we got here, this is the body of my mother, this is the soldier that tried to protect us. The russian soldiers started shooting at us. I was lying right here(points between the bodies) There were russian tanks back there.... The soldiers were shooting at us... I just returned with my father... We're trying to get home..." Interrogation: Russian solder seems stressed and is mumbling a couple words, repeatedly gets ahead of himself. "(commander?) Gave the order to shoot...(looks at interrogator and starts again) Gave the order to block the streets. In Kharkov on the Kharkiv RingRoad/Beltway)." "What was your mission?" "We had no mission, the 'Zampolit' gave us instructions intermittently." "Who was there, on the main road? Who did you(meaning the team, not this specific soldier) shoot at?" "We were putting up road blocks. Civilians were coming and going, some wanted to go to work others home. This really annoyed the Zampolit and he gave the order to shoot at the civilians. We started shooting, and the cars turned around, some people ran a short distance and were hiding nearby. Then you guys(UKR Military) came and we got in a shootout. While this happened, the lieutenant and I went to rescue the people caught in that place." "Was it your lieutenant?" "No, he was commanding a different group." "What was his name?" "Ivankov/Livankov." "So what did you and him decide?" "To save the ukrainian civilians caught in the crossfire. The Podpolkovink(seargent?) was also specifically shooting at them." "What happened after you got to the civilians?" Woman in her 50ies and daughter in her 20ies "The lieutenant pulled them out of the car and we got behind cover together. When the sargent realized that we were helping civilians, he also started to shoot at us. One bullet was blocked by the lieutenant's helmet, another ripped an artery and he died on the spot. Then they shot the mother and she died together with the lieutenant. The daughter and I started fleeing, and they shot at(probably meaning hit me in) my legs. If that garage weren't there, they would have killed me too. We waited till everything calmed down and the daughter proposed to drive us away. She crawled back to her mothers body and got the keys. She put me on the back seat. I asked whether she knew how to drive. She answered "kind of" I lost consciousness. When I woke up I asked for water. She drove to a store and bought me some. Then she got her father on the phone and he started to explain how to bandage my wounds, but then the ambulance arrived already." Womans Instagram Post Source: the following translated text from a post made by the victim on her Instagram translation by https://www.reddit.com/user/yourdadisabean We went to the city to withdraw money and buy food, returning home at the exit from Kharkiv, Russian tanks blocked the road, they fired at our car, we turned into a dead end and jumped out of the car, two guys jumped out to meet us, Russian soldiers, young, 18-20 years old .. who could barely held their weapons. .... We stayed there for 15 minutes, then they started shooting at us .. My mother was wounded in the arm, I heard her scream in pain .. And at that time a soldier threw me to the ground and shouted many times do not shoot ... They are ours ... He yelled at the Russian soldiers, don't shoot.. Heavy shooting began.. A dead soldier fell on me.. The second one was also shot... But my mother was silent... I got up and understood that she was dead.. She was hit in the head. .. I was left alone. They were shooting all around me, I grabbed my papers, etc. I hiding behind an iron booth
Omar’s not wrong to have those concerns. Give “Azov Battalion” a google and remember that they’ve been absorbed into Ukraines military.
The Azov Battalion has been discussed several times in this thread and their influence/reach is grossly overstated
Food for thought… there is a much bigger nation than Ukraine currently in the midst of a full scale invasion. Contrary to popular belief the invaders are in fact using arms both large and small. Maybe Ukrainians can consult the Home Alone films so that they can learn to make zany Rube-Goldberg Machine defenses.
