I'll miss Cambridge, but Im glad he's moving on. His 3 pt % got progressively worse the longer he stayed. That horizontal release is just not going to be fixed.
I assume Moore and Stretch follow him out. After Traore commits next week we’ll need a 3, a 4/5, and I think you take an impact guard if the opportunity presents itself.
Walmart money goes deep, jk just noticed Doug Shows is one of the refs, apparently the NCAA tourney has zero standards
They let Timme just get away with absolutely everything on the offensive end. He pushes off on lob passes every time
Don’t know if this was all that unexpected. Been a pretty good team all year (besides the beginning of SEC play). Congrats bertwing you gotta be on cloud nine right now.
I’m smashed didn’t expect this years team to match what last years team did, but knew they’d be a tough out for anyone. 5 days to prepare for Muss and staff is going to be a bad time for anyone. We need to start hitting from 3 to keep it going. Enjoying the ride. Go hogs!
Yea I never saw this coming and am pumped. Holy hell I loved watching the post game. Damn. So proud of those kids.
Drunk and sad so looking ahead to next year: -Alabama- #3 overall recruiting class, Quinerly injury questions, we'll see if Davison or Shackelford turns pro. Lots of help coming with two 5 stars and four top 60 recruits... interested to see what transfers they lose this year. Regardless, I think they'll be a top 3 team in league next year. Top 3-4 seed in NCAA tourney. -Arkansas- #2 overall recruiting class with two 5 stars and all five signees in the top 90 overall recruits. I think Notae goes G-League/Europe even though he has one year of eligibility left, and J-Will likely returns and if not we will land a high major PF transfer. We will return Devo, Toney and Jaxson Robinson... and lose Lykes and Umude to eligibility. I think this is our best chance to make a final four, and that's before we hit the portal. Top 3 team in the league next season. Could easily see a couple key SEC players transferring here. Top 2-3 seed in NCAA tourney. -Auburn- Lose Kessler and Jabari to the draft, lose Cambridge to the portal, and really only return KD and Wendell. Light recruiting class, so Auburn will have to rely on the portal to remain a fixture at the top of the league. Good coach and had a favorable schedule that propped up a good but mostly average team. I think they're in for a middle of the pack and bubble team season. 8-11 seed in tourney. Could easily take a big leap with a big portal season. -Florida- Coaching change and average recruiting class. Lose Castleton and Appleby, could be a decline for a couple years unless they make a splash in the portal. Would be shocked if they came close to 20 wins. NIT season -Georgia- pure cheeks and not really worth looking into from a prospective standpoint. Oquendo is nice. Bottom 2 team in the league at best, and their hire doesn't inspire confidence in the immediate future. -Kentucky- interested to see if Toppin, Wheeler, and Oscar come back or not. They are bringing in two top 10 players, but not the usual loaded freshman Kentucky class they rely so heavily on the last decade. Maybe Cal finally tries mixing in some elite transfers to go with returning some quality guys. But will lose the "THEY'RE ALL FRESHMEN THEY ARENT MATURE ENOUGH" excuse when he shits himself once again in the postseason with 12 five stars against a bubble team. Depending on what their returnees decide, I think they'll be a top 3 team in the league. Top 1-3 seed in NCAA tourney. -LSU- coaching change, pending sanctions, and transfers. Going to be a rough year. Bringing in an interesting coach who will try to hit the portal quickly and navigate things quickly before the July NOA response is due. I could see them being a middle of the pack to back end SEC team. No chance at an NCAA berth IMO. NIT season at best. -Miss St- Lots of rumors about Molinar transferring, weak recruiting class. Coaching change. Maybe Tolu stays? Will have to rely on portal to be competitive. If Molinar stays, middle of the pack team at best again. NIT to CBI team. -Missouri- Brazile transferring, coaching change, one average 3 star signee. They did just pick up a nice transfer commit from UW Milwaukee, but its going to be another long season. Bottom 3 team in the league. Interested to see if Brown stays. -Ole Miss- decent recruiting class, but Kermit is on the hot seat. They'll need to get to the top half of the league and possibly make the tourney to save his job. I think they're a bubble team at best. NIT to CBI season. -South Carolina- Coaching change, two 3 stars signees, Couisnard already in the portal. Will be surprised if they are able to get out of the bottom third of the league until some big time roster movement and getting acclimated to a new coach. No posteason. -Tennessee- Chandler decision is huge for their potential next season. only one signee that is just outside the top 100. Zeigler, Vescovi, Plavsic, JJJ, all returning. Could see them trying to make a splash in the portal. I think they're a top 3-4 team in the league and a lock at a top 5 seed in the NCAA tourney. -Texas A&M- losing Quenton Jackson will be tough to replace, but lots to be excited about with Taylor, Coleman, Radford, among others returning. Weak recruiting class, so wouldnt be shocked to see them heavily involved in the portal. I think they'll be a middle of the pack team and an at large tourney team in the 6-10 seed range. -Vanderbilt- If Pippen and Wright both return, and they get some front court help in the portal, I could see them becoming a top 5-6 team in the league. Not sure if any of their seniors get a covid year. Solid recruiting class for them with 3 top 125 kids. 2023-23 power rankings Kentucky Arkansas Alabama Tennessee Texas A&M Auburn Vanderbilt Miss State Ole Miss Florida LSU South Carolina Mizzou Georgia
I hope we can mostly replace our departures with HS recruits vs portal targets, but if we continue to have attrition like we expect, then a few transfers will still be necessary. On3 has us as the favorite for Traore. I hope we can swing that other LSU decommit too
Don't read this Audrew. Insult to injury. Long way to fall for an elite basketball program. Once again Alabama's basketball program is in better shape than Auburn's.
Everyone on the team and Barnes loved Bailey cause he is a good hang and practices hard. So I think this means they are going to add someone in the portal. As Bailey had another year and didn’t go through senior day.
Mike Swartz just left for East Carolina. And Rob Lanier just got the SMU job. Bailey didn't play at UT when Lanier was here, but he is from Texas. I think it would be one of those three schools.
Sounds like Pinson might be pulling a Jimmy Whit and come back to Mizzou. That would be pretty funny, because whew boy the OWGs hated him.
Also bertwing - Gates landed the #1 JuCo in the country as well as that UW-Mil transfer, you ignorant slut
