I’ve always wanted to go to Kingas. Have heard good things. What sort of crowd are you with? What kinda dinner you looking for?

Most parks after 8-9 during the winter.

 

Won't find places to let you dog do their thing here unfortunately. Irresponsible owners and overpopulation.

I am considering moving somewhere that I can allow my pup to swim in a lake. Won't happen here.

 

Also, why did I not live in Cherry Creek? Drove around there this weekend and it’s so damn nice. Instead I get the culture of RiNo which is actually pretty cool, mixed in with random gun shots and a ton of fireworks

I love breakfast food but I don't go out for it very often.

I'm sure you've had The Universal in Highlands but if you haven't that's my suggestion.

Late here but Kingas was basically a dive when I went. Food was good but nothing special. I’d go back but it’s not upscale or anything.

Cherry Creek Reservoir State Park has a like 10 acre off lease dog park and it’s the shit. There’s a bit of Cherry Creek that runs through it and your dog can go nuts in it.

Lucille’s does brunch that’s fantastic.

 

I’ve been to an embarrassing amount of the suggested breakfast options. Like all of them.

Smoking on some GG4 from Simply Pure. Had no idea they were black owned. Pretty cool

 

One of two black owned dispensaries in Denver. And just in general one of the best. Nice little rewards system. Good product. Good service. The female owner is just a really cool person

 

I was gonna ask if that was the white lady checking IDs, but obviously not. Their flower is a bit more expensive than other places, but I’m all for contributing to black people profiting off marijuana.

Best place to buy a snowboard? I’m thinking of just going to Christy. The employees there seemed to know their shit but it’s going to be expensive. Wondering if there’s a cheaper option.

Went to my first show at Mission last night.

Easily my favorite indoor venue I've been too. Easy to get in and out, bathrooms were clean, got drinks from the bar instantly. The sound and set up was incredible.

I saw The War on Drugs and they said they're coming back to Red Rocks in Sept. I cannot recommend seeing them enough.

 

Big fan of mission. Went and saw mac demarco there a few months ago and just chilled on the back seats that were GA.

 

While looking for a place to get my wife a specific Jeni’s ice cream at a retail store, their website directed me to a Denver plant store. Confused why a plant store had jeni’s ice cream, I googled the store. It may be the most unique store I’ve ever seen

Their weed ceramics are cool as hell. Especially the one shaped like an apple. And yes, I’ve always wanted a store where I could buy plants, a bong, jeni’s ice cream, and lingerie.

 

Todays weather was great. Cannot wait to have my first Washington park day where I set up my chair, music, cooler and frisbee and watch people play volleyball

 

Loved Washington Park. Visited nearly every day when I was able to weather permitting.

 

Have never been, have been going out a lot more in RiNo and the whole area is pretty dope. I wish my dog was trained a little better but it’s like sensory overload for her with all the people walking.

 

Best park in the city IMHV. The people watching alone is worth it

Hi Denver thread, I've been out here for a few weeks exploring neighborhoods to potentially move to and, to be honest, I haven't found a fit yet. I've read all the neighborhood posts itt but hoping I can get direction. We basically are looking for Lincoln Park (Chicago) in Denver.

She: Wants safe and bougie but also some diversity. If Cherry Creek allowed black people to live there, that would probably be perfect to her
I: Want walkable, vibrant (I don't mean like South Broadway or 16th Street, more like RiNo), outdoor greenery, accessible to concerts/sports/theatre venues

West Wash Park seemed like a decent option but when she saw it was ranked in the top-5 for crime that was a non-starter

 

I'm by City Park and Cheesman and love it, have you looked into this area?

I think anywhere in the city that meets what you're looking for there's gonna be high crime stats but I've never felt anything that would make me feel unsafe. I used to live in Rino and I like City Park better.

 

to each their own, but not big into looking into crime stats as some indicator as to whether you should move into a neighborhood or not.

I've been looking for a home for 5 months. fun stuff!

 

I think I stayed too close to Colfax when I went out that way. I can tell you 100% we would not be living within a few blocks of that street, I saw some wild stuff and that was midday.

I'm not sure if "unsafe" is the right word but I've been more uncomfortable in a few weeks in Denver than a few years in Chicago. Granted my hotel is on 16th Street and I strolled Colfax for fun so I deserve it

 

I agree to a point but she works odd hours so I can't argue this specific point
